Dannii Minogue will be returning to The X Factor, it has been reported, however she is expected to accept a significant cut in her current £1 million deal. High profile guest judges will be brought in to cover for Dannii during her pregnancy as the audition shows take place, she will then rejoin the panel at the live stages of the show.


Minogue is currently in the UK to talk about her new X Factor contract. It’s expected she’ll have to take at least a 30% pay cut to account for her missing a large portion of the show, but bosses do want her back. A source said: “This meeting is the first step to getting Dannii back on the show. If a solution can be worked out she will be here again at the live stages.

“We are very very keen for her to come back so at this stage, it doesn’t look like her pregnancy is going to present any problems we can’t work around.”

Another source added: “Dannii staying is now the preferred option and that means someone has to fill in for her. The show has to strive to be bigger and better each year, and so special guests and big names stars can help lift the initial episodes before the live stages.

“It will give fans even more to talk about.”

The first auditions are currently scheduled to take place on June 9th in Glasgow.



Hope Dannii comes back.. however she is not irreplaceable if she decides to leave at some point.

Dannii was actually the most liked judge on the last series, a £300,000 cut is stupid, especially now they are giving Cheryl a £700,000 rise.

I find that disgusting tbh! Dannii is FAR better a judge than Cheryl.

If she misses more than just the auditions then they may as well not bother bringing her back this series. It'd just be confusing and pointless having a guest judge or judges for about eight weeks before she takes over for the last ten, as it's primarily Bootcamp and the Judge's Houses which require consistency regarding judge's.

I'd give anything to have Sharon back.
