Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly says her character Becky McDonald is getting a step-sister in the ITV1 soap, who may be played by her real-life sister Grace!

Katherine told whatsontv.co.uk at the British Soap Awards on Saturday night: "It's very exciting, she's going to get a sister, which is an exclusive. Very, very soon a half-sister is going to come into her life.

"They are interested in my sister (Grace). She is the prefect age and she's a cracking actress and she is my sister, so she looks just like me. But she's in LA at drama school, so... I don't know if it will work."

I just hope she isn't another pantomime version of Becky or i'll be more annoyed than ever with Corrie.

I dont know, I dont think she will be put with Becky, I think she will just be another young character, who happens to be related to Becky

I've gone from really liking Becky to disliking her.. I'm hoping this character will be much different.

Steve is awesome.. I think their partnership is kinda forced because with Karen and Tracy he was much better even though he was their doormat like he is with Becky, but at she lets him do his own thing.

Indeed he is awesome, but both Michelle and Becky have become unliked ever since they were paired with him
