Big brother bosses are shunning loudmouth contestants such as Jade Goody this year in favour of jokers like Brian Dowling.
Makers Endemol say viewers want less bickering and fighting and more humour and romance, The 110,000 people who applied have been whittled down to 150. They are undergoing auditions, psychological tests and are having their criminal records checked.
Endemol boss Peter Bazalgette said viewers last year 'missed the wit and warmth' of gay Brian.
He won the second series which featured the romance between Helen and Paul.

Peter said "we want to try and get some of that quality back into the programme". He added that they still had not decided whether to keep the rich/poor divide.

I was delighted to read this piece and I even wondered whether they had been keeping tabs on TiBB. it so closely represents the views of most of us on here!
