Any Heroes fans?

After weeks of keeping fans on pins and needles, and a whole lot of speculation about what the silence means, NBC has finally put us out of our misery, and made a decision.

Heroes has been canceled.

So, what about that 2-hour/4-hour movie event to wrap things up? Deadline, which has insider info on the matter, says that is still a possibility:

''NBC sources now tell me that the network is “working on a way to wrap up the show. That will be determined after the upfront.” Other insiders explain to me that NBC will soon commit to that 2-hour or 4-hour special event in midseason to reward Heroes fans.''

Well it’s over, but it’s not COMPLETELY over.

The news is quite old, but I didnt know if a thread had been made. Anyway, would you like to see a 2-hour/4-hour movie to end the show, or do you think its best to leave it be?

I adore Heroes, sure Series 1 was by far the best and it sorta lost its way towards the end (imo the biggest downfalls were lack of use of powers, overuse of certain characters and they kept bringing dead characters back alive - espicially Nathan, grrr), however I do think they should allow Heroes to come to a clear end as the ending of series 4 for me was too open. And also I want more Heroes!

I lost track with Heroes; it definitely lost its way. It could have been amazing. I think a 2 hour special to wrap it up would be pretty good; but I wouldn't watch it because I stopped watching the show a while ago.

I've missed the fourth season so I've got to catch up. I'd like a proper ending though.

Nothing really beats the first season but I liked the third, it must have really lost it's way in the last series.

Yeah I would like just an ending just to tie things up I agree the ending of series 4 was just too open for the ending

I haven't watched the third or fourth seasons but I loved the first two, especially the first. Went through a phase where I loved Heroes and everything about it. I would watch a movie if one was to be made.

With Heroes Season 5 dead and buried, there are still the chance of a final send-off movie or two. If Heroes creator Tim Kring has his way, he’d like to finish up with a mini-series that would take place a year after Claire has revealed her powers to the world media, as seen at the end of Season 4.


“There will be a huge cultural and social change in the world,” says Kring. “Some [of our characters] will be hiding, some struggling, some basking in the glory.”

Claire, who desperately wanted a normal life, will become a reluctant spokesperson for the abnormals. Sylar (Zachary Quinto) will again struggle with his dark side. And Adrian Pasdar will likely return, though not as Nathan, who died.


Kring says all the cast are “eager” to come back, but the ball is now in NBC’s court. The network has repeatedly said in the past that it’s willing to “wrap up” the show with a final movie or two, as a “Thank you” to fans that have stuck by the show through its trials and tribulations.

This would be one way to go about it — how about a mini-series, NBC?

I would really appreciate this, and I think the idea of a '1 year later' scenario with the truth out would be excellent and a great way to end the show.
