Does anyone know how I could possibly fix my laptop charger? It rarely works, only if I hold it in a really awkward position, at the moment it is working lying across the keyboard... It's not charging either, it says the power type can't be determined...
Do I just need a new one or is there a way to fix it that doesn't involve me messing with the wiring?

Well if it works only in a certain position then its almost certainly a connection fault. I have similar with my camcorder charger. I just fiddle until its a position that works.
Fiddle, get it fixed by an electrical mind or buy new charger. Solved. |

My laptop had the same problem. Eventually found out he problem was a cut in the wire after it started burning. Get a new charger.
