Big Brother 'cheat' goes on hunger strike

A Big Brother contestant ejected from the house for rule-breaking has gone on hunger strike in an attempt to get hold of unedited footage of her time inside.


Dawn Blake says she cannot afford legal fees

Dawn Blake, 38, wants to force the show's producers to hand over all film they have of her, and has pledged to refuse food "until I pass out".

She claims that she was held against her will, and needs evidence of her requesting to leave the house to support a complaint she has made to police.

Ms Blake also denied that she had refused to wash while in the house.

She said: "When I came out of the Big Brother house I saw how I was portrayed and a lot of it is not true, it's been edited in a way I don't like, not because I don't look so great but because it's just not true.

"When they said they booted me out, I said I wanted to leave. When they said Dawn refused to wash, that was so untrue.

"I am asking for a copy of the unedited footage in its entirety and I will remain on hunger strike until I get it. I will continue until I pass out."

Unable to afford the legal fees to bring a case for defamation against the show's producers, she said going on hunger strike was her only option.

A spokeswoman for the Big Brother programme said Ms Blake, who left on Thursday, was thrown out of the house for breaking the rules.

She is annoyed the footage was edited to make her look like a smelly cow. Get over it, you knew what you were getting into, and that BB can edit things certain ways, if they did'nt the show would'nt be as good. There was 10 minutes footage of Nikki expressing how Dawn STUNKKKK of B.O, and that was it, Dawn is just making this a whole lot worse for herself, we'd all forgotten about her, now she's reminding us all. Dawn, You were'nt allowed to have any contact with the outside world, you broke the rules, you got kicked out, END OF.

I liked her when she first went in the house, but after about two days she started to really annoy me. This is clearly a publicity stunt.

I don't understand it when people say I don't like the way they edited it to make them look blah blah blah... They can't edit it to make them say things they didn't... pathetic.
