Default Another \'KISS\' !

I am sorry folks. It is ALL my fault.

The beautiful weather we were enjoying last week tempted me to get out my trusty sun lounger - white plasic , little used, 5 years old, much like those to be found in beach resorts of sunnier climes.
( it spends much of it's life in hibernation in my dusty , packed shed.)

Yes, you have guessed. I did it on Friday . I sat on it on Friday. Have we seen any sun since Friday ?

NO....not one ray !

So, apologies to you all. Once again the 'kiss of death' from Boris has sent the sun packing.

I will tell you when I put the trusty sun lounger away. You can expect a sunny day the day after. ( I hope !)

We have had thunder and Lightning up here

The monsoons have finally come at last

There will be dancing in the rain as that blisteringly hot sun is sent packing once more

Pitter patter
Pitter patter,
Listen to the rain,
Pitter patter
Pitter patter,
On the window pain,
Pitter patter
Pitter patter,
Here it comes again,
Pitter patter,
Listen to the rain.

I hear thunder,
I hear thunder,
Hark, don't you?
Hark , don't you?
Pitter patter raindrops ,
Pitter patter raindrops ,
I'm wet through,
So are YOU .

Or should this be in 'Poetry Corner'?

Love the little poem, Boris. It made me remember this one:

Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout,
Down came the raindrops and washed poor Incy out.
Out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain,
And Incy Wincy spider climbed up the spout again.

And the next verse....

Incy Wincy spider ,
Climbing up the wall,
Down came the water,
And made poor Incy fall,
Out came the plumber,
To mend the leaky pipe,
Then we got a big cloth ,
And gave the floor a wipe.

I can go on and on with Incy.

Do you want more verses? ( It's one of my favourites)

You twisted my arm......

Incy wincy spider,
Climibing up the shed,
Out came the sun
And shone on Incy's head,
Incy wore a sunhat ,
To help him feel cool,
Then he went to swim
In the local swimming pool.

We could finish this Mairi with...............

Incy Wincy spider
Climbing up the door
Someone came and Banged it
And now he's on the floor,
In came Mr. Boris
With feet as big as that ( hold hands out 2 ' apart)
He took 2 steps forward
And Incy went .....

KERSPLATTT !

What a horrid Boris I am

I never knew there were more verses to Incy Wincy Spider, Boris.

Poor Incy, though, I didn't realise he went splat at the end.

I like spiders, I do.

There weren't , Mairi, untill Boris got her hands on the original.

I write all the songs for the Christmas shows at school by 'rewriting' all the old standards and making them 'fit' !

I havn't been told yet if it is a 'curse' or a 'blessing' !
