This isn't being "posh" as you put it, but just simple manners and acceptable table etiquette!
Ohhh But looking at Laura doing that with the fork was like listening to someone scraping their nails down a chalk board...I felt like OMG I can just about imagine the scraping from the fork as it touches the ceramics...Ohhhhh no...The same with Tights...I couldn't wear them or even touch them

I've seen this sort of behaviour displayed in quite a few places and on the telly.. I'm sure Sophie (could have been someone else) from last years BB did it too! Oh, I could weep thinking about it!

Well anyways I used to make my own bread too over there...bought some lovely meat from butchers there and had nice food

I'm a slow eater too..
I like eating in restaurants, but I'm completely arsey about spotting a "shoveller" or a "fork teether" or even worse somebody eating with their gob open!!
I've had to swap seats before so I can't see said disgraceful behaviour in eateries!
Yuk Yuk Yuk!

Happyland - I'm inclined to agree with you. but - there IS something worse than someone eating with their gob open and that's someone eating with their gob open, sitting opposite - and talking at the same time. :eek!:

Oh don't! *boaks*
I remember a customer coming into my work... a big dirty filthy looking woman and she was stuffing a sausage roll into her mouth whilst talking to me.. bits of flaky pastry were flying out her mouth and I could see the rest of it in her mouth. I had to get somebody else to deal with her! YUK!

I think a healthy mixture of both methods is advisable.
