I watched it, Dave had been bitching about Ben and then said Ben was a commen thief ... I can tell you now this was not a joke .. he was angry when he said it!

Dave is in there trying to bring the Bible to a wider group. I would imagine that he has had the opposite affect.
His behaviour to Ben and several other housemates has be the exact opposite of Christian behaviour.
