Default UK landmarks you would reccomend

What are yours? Whether it's Stonehenge or the White Cliffs of Dover, we all have at least one near us or one that we would like to visit one day.

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (I'm looking at it from my window now) here in Wrexham (joins the villages of Froncysyllte which is famous for it's record-selling choir and Trevor).

Built by Thomas Telford in recently been granted UNESCO World Heritage Status so it's got alot of tourism and status now (it did before, but it does even more so).

Yeah you can, it's only like Ł2.50 or something. You can walk across too.

OR rent your own, alot of people come on barge holidays here (notably Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart!)

I wanna go on that! North Wales isn't too far neither. Where does it take you to?

Well the boat only goes over it and comes back lmao.

BUT if you were to follow the river right down you go through a village called Chirk which has a huuuuge castle and you'd end up just outside a town called Llangollen which has several landmarks itself such as Castelle Dinas Bran, the well known Valle Crucis Abbey and is also the home of the International Eisteddfod every year, a very tourism-based town known globally.

The canal is the River Dee which begins in Chester (I think) and finishes at Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen.

Really great places but I guess I'm too used to them to appreciate them.

God it can be a miserable driech place when it's raining!
Last time we drove up there, the clouds were so low, you couldn't see anything!
Stunning when it's clear though!

Went to Hever Castle in Kent recently which was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and it was one of the best days out I've had.. Loads for the kids to do and very interesting for the adults too
