My rant for today.
![]() I have no doubt at all that the Crufts Supreme Champion is a beautiful dog ...... but why, oh why, oh why do they have to clip him to resemble an explosion in a cotton wool factory? If you don't know what I'm on about, click here to see a picture of Nord Champion Topscore Contradiction, alias King. How ridiculous can you get - the poor dog must be totally embarrassed!! Why do they have to persist in clipping poodles in this bizarre fashion? ![]() Does anyone else agree with me? ![]() |

I watched the programmes like I do most years and I was so disappointed!
There was the most gorgeous big black dog in the final, (don't know the breed, it was just a gorgeous dog!) and I was sure it would win but they picked a flaming poodle!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I know exactly what you mean, janette.
It was an absolutely stunning flat coated retriever - I totally fell in love with it. At least it looked like a 'proper dog'. That's exactly the point I was trying to make, though. The poodle was a fantastic dog with a lovely face, but the way it was clipped left the poor soul looking absolutely ridiculous. What idiot decided that poodles should be clipped like that and not retrievers? Whoever it was should have their own hair clipped like that, and see how they like it!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
