Who takes this all so seriously.... they will all get recording contracts regardless, and that is when the wheat will separate from the chaf.

If they are any good, they will make it.

If they aren't, they won't. Same with Cher being in the finals up to last night.

I know there's the status point of view of winning, but it's not the be all and end all.

I do think these young lads will win. Simon is never going to let Cheryl have a hat trick. Besides which, the band has 5 times the amount of people who will like them individually - effectively, 5 times the votes as a possibility coming in.

Simon wants OD to win because he knows that the media and critics will not effect their success. They would never get great reviews anyways. And their fans will be oblivious to any media backlash.

Whereas Matt and Rebecca do need good reviews and could be brought down by negative media if they won. So really, it may be a good thing for OD to win. Matt and Rebecca will get record deals regardless and have less pressure.
