Ahh... but remember Davina said:

"And Big Brother is going to reveal that a big surprise has been right under their noises for the past seven days."

...Now, part of me refuses to believe that the herbs would be "a big surprise"

Could this have something to do with the rumour flying around that there was to be a secert room, like a games room?
Hmmmm....

Well... if we compare the two maps from the last two years, you can see huge spaces where there's 'floor space', but no 'room'... as of yet.

Of course, it has to be slightly obvious... and I've always been suspecious of the full-body-mirror in the girl's bedroom. If it *were* another room, then that's going to be a pain to add a door anywhere else... of course, there's spaces outside, but I suspect it's going to be something that's there, that we can see... just haven't put two and two together for.

Of course, I could be wrong...

Last two years? I've cracked up! This year, and last year... even...

..I've really lost it..

Okie dokie,

These are my thoughts. As I'm only a lowly production technician by skill, I'll apply some of that knowledge. If I were working on set-design, well, specifically lighting design, I'd prefer the room to pre-exist. I'd equally prefer not to have to move a camera run, since they'd generally be designed not to be shoved around. Bearing in mind how the BB camera-runs are designed, it's highly unlikely they'd move one. So... This cuts down possibilities a bit. Of course... the BB house could always be given a second level, I doubt that very much as there's no real placing to put a set of stairs and would introduce a bunch of complications.

Ok, so, this would leave only a few possible places to put something.

Either, where the TV is/plant is.

Something at the end of the corridor

Something closer to the dining-area.. but there's two mirrors there and you'd cut off the camera run.. so I doubt that.

And of course, there's a nicely placed space towards the end of the arbour... and a suspecious number of one-way mirrors, which would suggest that there's a camera run running past the arbour, would would leave a gap.

The final two places would be either the mirror in the girl's bedroom. (I'd prefer that, myself, since that's the logical place to put a door and not mess up the rounded-covering, otherwise you're going to have to end up locking the housemates in a bedroom for hours).

And, finally.. the space between the girl's bedroom and the dining area, which if I remember correctly doesn't have a mirror in the way... and can't you just imagine that there's something running away from the door?

If you look at the map, you'll see what I mean.

The logical presumption is that it's a secret room... but if it isn't, what else could it be? Particularly, given the design of the house, I wouldn't like to add a second room, and secondly the 'teaser' advert adds the spin of... "Will the housemates lose this week, but will winning be any sweeter?"... which in my mind makes the reward some sort of double-edged sword... joining a room together? losing a room? taking something away?

Just my thoughts.

I'm guessing that the task is something obvious, around the house, and that perhaps the winner has to nominate the two up for eviction, wasnt there some rumours flying around about that?

A basement perhaps ???

I don't think physically there is room on the ground level for another room...

Maybe the fake grass dining area opens to the entrance of the basement

Hmm speculation is so fun

mmmm

intriguing ideas! I have to say that my first reaction was that some floor area would slide back to reveal a secret room or area. I like the sound of a basement

The pub theory may still be valid if a wall is to move (oh no am I sounding like Jon?)

It's tug-of-war

------------------------

http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_786408.html?menu=

Big Brother has confirmed that the first live task will consist of a tug-of-war game and will result in the housemates receiving a surprise reward.

According to Channel 4 the reward will reveal a Big Brother's twist

This morning the housemates awoke to discover that markings had been placed on the ground in the garden but they won't receive an explanation until this evening.

At the beginning of the show, the group will be asked to elect a leader who will choose two teams and one housemate will be called into the diary room to be issued with a sealed envelope, which will reveal their instructions.

The result of their challenge will be announced live during the Channel 4 show at 9.05pm

I think this should be a good watch. I love tug of war - especially when its girls vs boys!

But I don't care what the task is, I just want to know what the surprise is! pah! :|

Given all the spin given to it, ie, the advert that states "But will winning be any sweeter?", and the combination of other questions... since it being a tug of war would indicate that there's a winning team and a losing team...

Hmmmm, speculation time!
