I'd reccomend reading real books, but that's just me.
Soon our orgasms will be externalized and placed into a fucking LCD screen. Why sacrafice one of the few remaining things you can do without a piece of technology? |

I'll never buy one. Sure, it's tempting because you can put different files onto there...but it'll kill literature. Just buy some books...or get a library card :\

I have bought ebooks from WH Smiths, Waterstones, Ottakers and a few other online stores, you can also download free books from a good few stores and sites online.
I didnt buy the ebook reader I have, got it for Christmas off the other half. Not sure I would buy ever one really, think its a bit expensive for what it is however they are handy and you can take them almost everywhere you take normal books. Plus it saves carrying round a bag of books. Wont take it into the bath though just in case I fall asleep and drop it into the bath. Dont want to put the waterproof claims to the test. |

Saw them on the Gadget Show, seems to take all the fun out of reading. Plus they look really awkward to use

I'll agree with what everyone else has said, stick with real books.
The only argument for having on is that you don't need to lug loads of books around with you. In seriousness, who reads more that 2 books at a time?

Reading two books at a time is fine. But needing two books on the go in situations that don't allow for mass storage like luggage on a plane/train is absurd. Do you really need all your Dan Browns in a Burger King? I assume that's the market the eBooks are going for.

Nah the girlfriend got me mine because I like gadgets, plus I never get rid of books I read, I have boxes of them in the loft, now i can have shedloads on a memory card/stick.
The other good thing about them is I can also get trade periodicals and magazines etc in electronic form and again saves me cluttering up her place or mine with magazines etc. Personally I wouldnt have gone out and bought myself one, between my mobile and my computer its fairly redundant but hey I have to like it and use it now dont I? |

Cluttering up the place with magazines is a joy, godamnit!
Your GF must be a right storage nazi ![]() 'Course I may be biased because looking at bright screens up close for any lenghty amount of time gives me a vicious migraine which only serves to foster my fondness for Codeine. |
