if I ever wanted to conquer a fear though it would be some deep sea activity. Even though I live by the sea I don't like the idea of swimming in it...certainly not right out there away from land.

North Sea/Channel/Irish sea - defifinely not zipster.............URRRGH. I learned to scuba on coral reefs with clear visibility and tropical fishes coming to take little bits of food from you. It was literally like being INSIDE a home fish tank that UK people have as the little plastic diver toy!

I'm a weak swimmer on the surface - but diving has 0 to do with swimming once down there - just flippers and breathing steadily thru the air tanks.

its things swimming towards me that Im afraid of! or whats lurking beneath. If I saw a shark or anything bigger than a suitcase I'd pass out and drown.

Don't do absinthe Shaun!!!! - it contains a small amount of pure arsenic in it and next day your head will feel like you have a demolition ball operating on you!

Not really zipps - once down there (we took bits of crab meet to attract the tropical fishes at easy 10m), the fishes were really cute and nice. Like feeding your goldfish by hand underwater!

My biggest dive was 40m to a sharks' nursery - boy was I scared on this one, but a case of overcome fear and follow the dive leader!

Off the coral island they were not Great Whites! Passive sharks with us looking at their underwater cave where whey mate and bring-up their young.

So long as careful you cannot be invasive or trouble things but just smile to see it.

Good call Locke - problem is that my brother gave me a bottle of the thing with arsenic in it - 5 of us had a lads' night-in and I'm VERY generous on measures then convinced them we should finish the bottle - 5 very sore head Scotsmen! Not only alcohol - but arsenic in head
