Fighting the PC Culture

This is a riddle I first saw when I was in the 6th grade (like about 15 years ago). It's not well known and almost everyone I ask (even the really smart ones) never get it. So if you can get it I'll be very impressed. In the above picture 3 tens are drawn. Believe it or not, there is a way to make these 3 tens mean the time 9:50 by drawing exactly one straight line somewhere on the paper. Can you figure out and tell me where and how to draw this line? Update: Glenn got it so unless you want to see the solution don't read his posts! If anyone knows any other good riddles I'm up for a challenge so feel free to post them. What is as light as a feather, invisible to the naked eye, and if put into a barrel will make the barrel lighter?
That's a riddle from a television show I saw so no google searching is allowed.

^ OMG yes! Of course, that's racked my brains.
Here's one my Dad told me: The man who makes it doesn't need it, the man who has it doesn't want it, the man that needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

So if that's what you thought it said and you decided to check it out, does that mean you're in the mood for a cuddle?
