Your generalizations really are pretty dire. Rockstar aren't the only developers acting as saviours producing consistently original content in the face of a repetitious industry of generic first person shooters.

There's more quality, original games out now than at any other point in history. You're just not looking hard enough. By all means enjoy Rockstar but surely you know better than to come out with these ignorant sort of statements proclaiming there to be nothing else available?

Back to tropical islands where it belongs. No more African dustpits.

Sony one about to start. The IGN link is being a bit slow for me so here's the Gamespot one too. Seems faster :

Don't get me wrong, I know there are other sandbox/free roamning GTA like games out there or games that are different from the usual Call Of Duty/Halo bollocks.

But the majority of them are all the same now, the same Sc-Fi combat skills and the worst part is, sometimes the games look sick - but they're sequels to games that you must buy to understand the current version.

If they revealed a Heavy Rain kind of game tonight [or whenever] for Xbox - It would be amazing.

Also does anyone else think when it showed 'Playstation' just now after the RAGE Presentation finished - the music sounded like some Babestation or Porno music.

Yes lol that generic kind of techno music.

Sony have two presenters outside now [I know it's Sony and not the website because they have big 'PLAYSTATION NETWORK' mics] with no volume.

It's a shame, on the PS2 back in those days every game was different.

Now they are all basically the same.

...Yes they are.

Well maybe that's not a fair statement - but they're certainly the best developers and virtually all of their games are hits.

Okay so basically are you saying there's a chance something will come up about GTA?

Also can I just through this out there - if GTA isn't announced at this - does that basically ******ing mean the launch date for the next GTA won't be until after E3 2012 so they can then announce the game at next year's E3? For ******'s sake.
Nah, games don't have to be announced at E3, Rockstar generally don't use E3 to announce/release trailers. It's likely that release for GTA Next will be at least a year after the first announcement though. Looking at around Q3/Q4 2012 I reckon.

Sony's conference was about 15 minutes late and all I've heard so far is an apology, yet it's already better than Microsoft's.
