Just saw this! The two times I went at 8am last year I got front row and there was about 10-20 people in front of me(Dublin was 10,London was 20),front row can hold a least a couple hundred cos it's so long.

Awesome!
The last McFly gig I went to held 20 on the barrier.... was crazyily small! Next arena tour should hold 50+ thankfully! ;D .... Laura, please steal your obsession back.

My god memories. Gotta laugh at my constant denials about Robbie ever coming back. God knows why I'm bumping this because I'm avoiding TT news at the moment because I want to be spoiler free for the concerts.

Looks like you had a wicked time Nicky! Got a mate who has become obsessed with Take That since Robbie rejoined... Totally reminds me of you Laura! (although her bedroom wall is not nearly as obsessed?!)

and about half 7 in the morning the people behind us were like "we got here at 3 and we're 2nd row, do you feel silly for coming so early?".... we were just like, mate, we're on barrier. :')

So you're the reason for the shops banning alcohol for their gigs.

![]() Mahoosive review time Take That Croke Park review-18th June 2011 18th June 2011 Never in my life have I been to a Take That concert and I can’t remember half of what has happened, suppose that’s what you get for being spoiler free, this review was helped a good bit by a girl in the queue who had been to loads but things are a little bit vague (and long). We (my mum and me) got to Croke Park about 8am, after the DART had gotten delayed and I amazed to see about 60 people already there, for The Circus tour, there had only been about 10! As was the same as last year, the queuing was absolute mayhem, apparently they hadn’t thought of organization because we had been told not to queue for 4pm, like that was going to stop us! We had to stand from 12am, thank feck I had decent people to chat to. I never thought I’d get barrier cos loads of people who had queued hours behind us suddenly got in front. When it came to the running, I thought some light stand was the B Stage, when I actually got there and saw barrier on the left corner, I legged towards it and hung on for dear life, mum turned up a minute later. I was so happy that I’d gotten barrier that I was practically hugging it. It had been lashing rain all the day and after I put my banner up, I had to put a poncho over it to protect it from the rain; the 4 got all smudged though. Had a good few chats with people, I kept wondering what stuff was but I had told people near us that I was spoiler free so they just smiled when I asked. Some professor man came up and tried to work the keypad before he found the USB which I LOVED. He asked us to welcome the Pet Shop Boys who were a pretty decent support act. He came back on about quarter to nine and after he keyed in something, the capacity came up which was 77,000 and something and then there was the date and a countdown of a minute. We started counting down at 10 and then was lots of screaming and they seemed to just appear. If I hadn’t found out in the queue that TT4 came on first, I would have absolutely died seeing just the 4 of them. They started Rule the World and we all launched into song, it was weird seeing Rule the World in broad daylight but it’s one of my favourites live cos the crowd just sing it so loud. Amazing. They started Greatest Day and ran down to the B Stage and we all went mental. Gary came right in front of me and I couldn’t get over how close he was, I turned to my mum and went ‘He’s right there!’ They all went around each of the corners and seeing Mark and Jay was just incredible, they’re all so fit! We all did the ‘Hold On’ arms and the boys were egging us on. They went up on plinths at some point and Jay pointed at it and mouthed ‘Look’ at the crowd. Howard was looking at me a good bit and he mouthed something to me at one point (I think it was about my banner) but I have no idea what he said. I got eye contact with them all at some point <3. When they went down for GD I got Howard’s hand! They had a chitchat with us at some point and Mark got a Dictaphone and played something none of us could hear properly but got us all to sing Fields of Athenry which seems to make him happy. They started Hold Up A Light and I was sooooooooooo happy, I was hoping they’d include it cos it’s one of my favourites. And so good live, we all got to do our jumping up and down. There were loads of whitely clad dancers and they played some violins and then they picked up these giant ball things as Mark went ‘Are you ready for the big finale? Don’t be scared!’ The dancers swung them round as some fire thing erupted from them, it looked amazing. We all pointed at the guys as they pointed at us while they sang ‘I’ll be watching you’. Gary introduced Patience by saying something like ‘There’s no way to introduce this song, it’s the song that brought us back after all those years, please help us sing Patience’, to which we obliged with a good old singsong and arm waving. They vanished after Patience and as I had heard it during soundcheck, well the fans singing it while I tried not to listen, I knew they were doing Shine. There was the usual Shine extravaganza. There were black tree things and a person with a net and a rabbit. Then the boys came up, I could see Gary’s head before they appeared and he looked so serious and oblivious, I found it so funny. Gary was on some piano thing, Howard and Jay had pretty jackets on and Mark was all dressed up as usual, he added a massive helmet to his ensemble at some point. Shine was a lot of loud singing and arm waving. They ran back to the main stage near the end. There were all these white bubbles everywhere and some actual bubbles which looked so pretty with the sky as a backdrop. After Shine was finished, some video came on of the five of them but I wasn’t busy to pay attention cos I was getting my earplugs out. Robbie was on then, he sang some songs and I stared at the crowd/ground/sky a lot. Before The Flood there were aerial dancers doing some cool area things. They ended up forming the Progress cover and then the boy outlines appeared and it looked amazing. The boys appeared on the really high walkway and water started cascading down the back stage as they sang, while the aerialists kept going. They walked along the walkway and they each got into these pod things to come down to the stage, Robbie was somewhere. SOS was a lot of red and lights, the robot appeared from the back (the only spoiler I knew besides stage TT4-bstage, Robbie-main stage because it leaked before the tour started.) The boys were running around wearing black and red outfits. Underground Machine was next and I went ‘Feck’ because I deleted UM about 2 days after I got Progress so I didn’t know the lyrics at all. The boys were all on instruments, something which I loved during the Circus Tour. Gary was on a keytar, Jay on guitar, Howard on drums and Mark on bass. This whole section is a bit vague in my memory cos I wasn’t bothering to look at the screens but it was very good and very loud. They ran down to the B Stage during Underground Machine and then disappeared down the middle. All these dancers came on in black and white outfits and the Kidz stomping music came on, all these chess pieces appeared on the screens. I can’t remember how they got on; there was a massive chair in front of us. They had black and/or white outfits on, Mark had a sword thing and Jay had a really low top on<3. He also had a headband so he looked like a ninja. Kidz for me was a whirlwind of dancing and arm jutting. Jason and Howard had a dance off and it was brilliant. Jason spun around for like a minute, all I remember is his legs going round and round so fast. Near the end, they walked back to the main stage, Mark waving a huge Irish flag. After Kidz, the robot that had been coming out further the whole show was on the stage. Robbie and Gary went up on the hands; Robbie was half hanging off while Gary sat calmly which I found funny. They sang Pretty Things, Jay and Howard went up in the hands too. After that they had a chit chat with this whole Robbie/Jay sketch about how he quit/was made to leave and then Robbie swung Jay around, I’d so love to do that. Jay was saying how he had a really sore throat and he blamed Irish whiskies and their dancer Ciaran. They asked us to take a picture of them and the flashes were incredible. The chat was long enough and though I loved it at the time, I can’t remember it exactly. They all got drinks and had an alcoholic dig at Mark and Rob as they toasted to our health. Then we had big singsong, Rob started Could It Be Magic but then said he didn’t like it. Mark kept singing other boyband songs (Flying Without Wings was in there somewhere), while Rob shouting at him that that wasn’t their band. I can’t really remember the order but they did snippets of Do What You Like, Take That and Party, Why Can’t I Wake Up With You and Love Ain’t Here Anymore. They did proper long bits for Babe, Everything Changes and A Million Love Songs (a very very lovely surprise). After the mass singsong, they had the biggest singsong of them all with Back for Good. Gary got on his piano and the crowd belted it out, incredible every time. They went to the front and got into the Pray positions, and they did the Pray dance<3. Once they vanished the instrumental to Happy Now started and the robot was lighting up. Then it changed into a different song and I got all confused. I only realised it was Love Love once Gary started singing. They all had LED panel flashy things on their jackets. Mark and Howard got on the hands of the robot; Robbie and Jay were on the body somewhere while Gary was on the stage in front. The robot was unravelling and moving forward as they sang. Everyone at the B Stage was doing the Love Love arms, we all nearly injured each other a good few times. When Love Love was over, the robot went dark and Gary said something about Never Forget while the rest got down. They walked to the back of the B Stage with Mark and Jay holding hands which was so cute. They all sang the start together before the stadium erupted with light and they walked towards their mic stands. I think Robbie was in front of me, he was for Kidz as well, I just look elsewhere when he was front of me. I always like to look at Howard during NF anyways cos it’s his song. I ADORE Never Forget live, doing the arms. These dancers with lights all over them climbed onto the barrier for the claps, looking around during the claps is nothing short of breathtaking. I was out of time at the start but then got it right. They all bowed after NF (nice bum shot) and I thought they were gonna go. I asked the girl next to me whether it was over and she nodded, but I had told her I was spoiler free so maybe she thought it best to say that. Then they appeared on plinths and Mark was right in front of looking fit as. They sang No Regrets which even though it’s a Robbie song, I actually quite liked them with them all singing it. Then the fire started as they launched into Relight, it was nowhere near as hot as The Circus Tour though thankfully. Jason was dancing really close to two dancers at one point and the best bit of course was doing the Relight arms over the barrier with Jay right in front of me. After Relight they did all the thank yous and I was soo happy when Gary sang Eight Letters. I did think I would cry but I was too busy noticing the boys were coming down the steps and Mark and Robbie were together. I recoiled into the crowd as Rob got near me while everyone else was trying to push forward. Never thought I’d be so close to someone I can’t stand. Thank feck Mark is polite cos Rob was gone by the time he got to us. Someone next to me was giving him something and I reached so far but he missed my hand! Need to get him in Wembley! One of my friends had told me to bring a weird hat and I soon found out why. By the time the boys were back on stage, they were all wearing an assortment of things, mainly Irish based. They bowed again and went through the middle of the stage. At the end when the lights went up, as the lights went up, as always it felt like it lasted barely anytime at all. I must say after 22 days of being almost spoiler free, it was amazing to just see the extend of the spectacle. I got a good few surprises, was in awe the whole time, got Howard’s hand and got looked at by all of them and I loved it, incredible show.
