It's like what he did on the Berbatov deal, made United pay more than we originally wanted and bang he was our player despite him keep saying they weren't going to sell.

IMO Modric has probably agreed to stay another year and agreed that if Spurs don't qualify for the CL, (looks unlikely this season but you never know) he can go.
