Celebrity Big Brother 2011 finalist Amy Childs is planning to take distance learning courses to prove she has brains as well as good looks.

‘She went on CBB to prove she isn't a bimbo,' says a pal.

'One of the reasons she left The Only Way Is Essex was because she felt she'd been painted as this dumb girl who only cares about vajazzles.

'Now she wants to get some more qualifications under her belt and prove she isn't that person.'

Amy, 21, won't have much time to study, however, if her TV show comes off.

‘The idea is that she'll go to India to learn about massage, to Japan to learn about geisha make-up and so on,' reveals our insider.

The beautician became one of our favourite characters on TOWIE after coming out with a series of classic questions, including: ‘Where's north London?'

Before CBB, she spoke about her days as head girl at the posh Raphael Independent School in Hornchurch, Essex, saying: ‘I have dyslexia and didn't do well in my GCSEs. But I'm proud because I tried my best and was a nice person.'

Amy Childs left her former The Only Way Is Essex co-stars in the shade at the TV Choice awards last night - but also sparked speculation of a reunion with ex-boyfriend Kirk Norcross he posted a photo of the pair looking rather cosy.

The 21-year-old redhead quit the ITV2 show last month but Childs turned up to the awards ceremony to support the rest of the TOWIE crew.

Amy, Chloe Sims and Lydia Bright all opted to wear floor-skimming dresses on the red carpet, but Amy stole the show in a floor-length white dress.

The Celebrity Big Brother finalist managed to tread the fine line between trashy and bridal in the white gown, overshadowing her former cast mates in the process.

But the sexy redhead, 21, who has just bought a new Range Rover, will have to raid her piggybank again.

Essex trader Jason Russell wants at least £100k for the plate.

And he reckons he might get even more by trying to flog it to other loaded cast members.

Jason, of Buckhurst Hill, runs his own registration firm and snapped up the plate recently, knowing he could sell it for mega- bucks to TOWIE fans.

The businessman, 26, said: “Everyone will love this plate as the catchphrase has become a household name.

This registration is for sale and has been val- ued by a leading UK registration expert at at least £100,000.

“Clearly it’s a fantastic registra- tion aimed at wealthy people with luxury cars who want to stand out from the crowd.

“Amy’s dead set on getting it to go with her new car and has already approached me. It’s just whether she can afford it.”

The Celebrity Big Brother pin- up treated herself to the black car when cash from photoshoots began pouring in off the back of her TOWIE success.

Pals say she now wants to upgrade to a new white Range Rover and the numberplate would match the new car perfectly.

A source said: “Amy comes from a hard-working family and al- though she wants the number- plate, she’s a bit nervous about spending £100,000 in one go.”

THIS time last year barely anyone had heard of Amy Childs.

This week The Sun reported how TOWIE sisters Sam and Billie Faiers were attacked by a girl gang on a night out in London.

Sam, 20, needed a brain scan and was left with two black eyes and a split nose after being kicked and punched unconscious and Billie was left with cuts and bruises.

Amy, 21, told The Sun: "I spoke to Billie and Sam and told them I was always there for them if they needed anything at all. They're fine, just a bit bruised at the moment.

"But it does make me worry for my own safety. Everyone sees us as celebrities now, even though we don't see ourselves like that. Billie and Sam certainly don't.

"We are in the public eye and even going out now I'm careful. I went to the Sugar Hut nightclub the other night and I did actually need security. I was with my mum and people were pulling at me and crowding round.

"You also have to be careful about the possibility of people spiking your drink. I don't put my drink down but with everyone calling you and pulling you it would be so easy for someone to put something in there.

"And you get girls who are like, 'Oh my God, look at the state of her, who does she think she is?' You get such jealous girls out there.

"It's so terrible that it's happened to Sam and Billie but for all of us it's a real wake-up call."

Last night, the redhead stepped out in a demure, yet chic black dress as she dined out at Nobu with cousin Harry Derbidge.

She protected her modesty in the high-neck frock, with the only flesh on display being a few inches of leg.

She kept the outfit young and fun, wearing a skinny black belt to pull her in at the waist and keeping warm in a leather jacket.

The Celebrity Big Brother contestant even revealed the former Spice Girl was the inspiration behind new fashion range The Amy Childs Collection.

Childs, who describes the clothes as 'fun, girly and glamorous', told Star: 'I've got some glam dresses and classy ones and then I've got some everyday dresses and tops in there, too. I've got something for everyone.

'I love Victoria Beckham's long dresses. Some of my collection was inspired from that look... I especially love my sparkly and glittery dresses.'

Amy Childs has admitted that she is missing sex following her latest break up – but the former TOWIE star has said she is not in the market for a one night stand.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine, the Essex girl says she’s been “one hunjad per cent” single since her split from Joe Hurlock.

“Do I miss sex? Course I do! What girl wouldn't? But I don't want to go out and sleep with someone just because I miss it.

“I'd rather go out, enjoy being with someone and then wait a while to sleep with them.

“I've never had a one-night stand, I'm not into all that.

She added: “This time next year I'd like to think I'll be settled down in a relationship, but only with the right person.

The former TOWIE star showed off her new accessory as she attended the launch of the new Prezzo restaurant in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, last night, before continuing her evening at Nu Bar in Loughton.

Amy opened her mouth wide to show off the piercing, which appeared to be a silver stud, as she enjoyed her first evening out since returning from Los Angeles earlier this week.

However, while the 21-year-old star looked thrilled with her new addition, tongue piercings don't come without dangers.

According to the British Dental Association: 'Potential complications include pain and swelling, chipped and cracked teeth, recession of the gums and prolonged bleeding. Difficulties with chewing, swallowing and speech can result. Infection is also a risk.

'Unclean piercing equipment can transmit bacteria and viruses, including hepatitis B and C, and patients who fail to heed advice on hygiene and follow-up care can spread additional infections.

'In severe cases, infection can pass through the bloodstream from the original site to the heart or brain, with extremely serious consequences.'

Reality star opts for garish diamante purple gown at Military Awards alongside The Royals

Gracing the red carpet with The Duchess of Cambridge is no easy feat if you want to be noticed.

So Amy Childs pulled out all the stops in an eye-catching gown at the Military Awards tonight.

While Kate Middleton swooped in wearing an elegant floor-length black dress, the former TOWIE star opted for something a little more garish by stepping out in a purple and diamante ensemble.

The 21-year-old teamed her Quality Street creation with a pair of sparky skyscrapers and some rather hefty bling, including a large bangle on her left arm to suitably weigh her down.

As did most of the ladies, she braved the cold minus her jacket as she showcased a generous portion of flesh with the slashed skirt cut to the thigh.

The event was held at The Imperial War Museum in London in honour of the armed forces.
