So all Australians don't go around saying "g'day mate"??
I heard it once in my life but that was in a real bogan area.

And people are taking what I have said so stupidly that I cannot believe. I'm not joking about death... half my life has had death in it so I'd be the last one to joke about it
Aww I feel sorry for you now ...

I'm on your side hehe but maybe you should have been a tad more sensitive ... no? Ok?

PEOPLE, he wasn't joking about Steve Irwin's death in an offensive way! I didn't really find it offensive (although obviously I wouldn't, because ... well yeah) and, well, his death, although it's sad - people die everyday, people who have children, a family, whatever. Yes, it's sad, but it IS part of life and what Steve Irwin was doing was kind of bound to get him hurt someday, at the least.

I'd like to think we all have good heads on our shoulders lol, but the point is, I can't see why people are jumping all over each other just because they're expressing their opinions.

And Emz - yes!!

Look, I dunno how your mind works but there was no "death" jokes... I would never joke about the subject. You and Mark tend to get carried away without checking the facts first, and thats what normally gets you into so many arguments

I never said making jokes about death was good, I just never found the 'jokes' offensive. Steve Irwin didn't really mean anything to me.

Im with Chrizzle, so what you dont like him? At least show some respect to the man. Hes dead. You havent shown anything sign of respect or remorse for him. You've just been rude and what you've said was uncalled for. Your very selfish.

And I'm sticking to mine, that I think you should give it a rest now.

You've said plenty of times that you don't like the fact that Jake made jokes. Why do you have to keep saying it over and over again and being more argumentative, and making it worse?

Just because you dont like someone, its just not very nice..
Can you not see that?

Steve irwin was not a bad man, he hadn't done anything wrong.
So he made a stereotypical view of Australian people..
Your doing that now.
Your making them come across as not very nice..

Yeah, he did actually ... I think that's a sign of respect - I don't particularly agree that remorse has to be shown though - we never knew the man personally! He wasn't a friend of mine, or in any way part of my life! It's sad for his family, but I just don't think it's sad TO ME. I don't think that's selfish, I think it's pretty practical. I know he's dead, but thousands of people die every day ... we don't acknowledge 99% of their deaths, and if Steve Irwin wasn't on a TV program about crocodiles, we wouldn't acknowledge his either.

Wasn't it 'great minds think alike'?

Chrizzle, I've always tried to respect what you're saying, but I don't see why you have to say the same thing a gazillion time over 4 pages - it comes across as a tad argumentative.
