The clue might be in the fact that it is Celebrity Big Brother, and he is not a celebrity - along with several other non entities that are in there.

It depends on the definition of a celeb. If it is based on talent then I would not include soap actors as anyone could do that. Not sure if i would include madsen as he appears to just play himself in films.

The rugby guy has a talent, Denise is a good actor. No one else could really be called a celeb more just a well known face.

Really? You think perhaps I'm living in a time warp? If it hadn't been for this show he'd have sunk without trace. I predict another few months of him in and out of rehab and he'll either be dead of forgotten.

I just think celeb has a whole new meaning these days compared to the good old days.

I can't argue with that. Although being well known isn't the same as being a celebrity. Fred West was well known. I wouldn't call him a celebrity.

I agree with your post above, though that's not quite how you seemed to be putting it over on your OP - that sounded a wee bit like you were defending his right to be on the show because of the limited talent - and in his case, being devoid of talent / career entirely - because he has a well 'kent' face.

He has an interesting story, someone who I want to know more of, not just the stuff we are fed in the press. So I will defend his right to be in their for being someone in the news who's character I want to delve deeper into.
