I didn't watch BOTS tonight so can't say how it came across there but readign the transcript above I guess he could just be playing up to the perception of him being gay, whether he is or not. He's argued he isn't gay since the start of CBB, and it would appear a long time before, but it's still something he can play up on

Exactly. In my experience it's the men who portray themselves as ladykillers who are often gay. Camp mannerisms are not a good indicator of whether someone is gay - it is just one aspect of a specific stereotypical view some rather sheltered people have of what a gay person is like. Gareth is far from camp, so by that logic is he perhaps really a heterosexual in denial?

this issue is not about him being gay. it's about the fact he's lying about it CONSTANTLY. he gets more publicity by keeping everyone talking about it anyway.

How is he lying about it constantly? Whenever he's been asked he's consistently told people he's straight. It's those folk that don't like the answer so they prefer to make up their own.

If people want to obsess about it, that's up to them. Personally I don't know what business it is of anyone's whether he's gay, straight or bisexual, or why indeed they should even care
