Default Jon is very right

In the bathroom when no one was around, jon started talking to the mirrors again. I cant remember his exact quote but it was something along the lines of...

As a voting public, you've made some shocking decisions this year.

I think he is right, forgetting lisa, gos, sissy and justine, you have all made some shocking decisions.

Big brother 4 is not as good as the others, not because the producers have messed up, but because you have all voted out the most interesting people!

Why else did they let an old housemate return?

Forgetting scott and ray for a moment, because both of them deserve to be in the last 4... the others are a complete waste of time... STEPH AND CAMERON!!

You evicted Anoushka, you evicted federico, you evicted jon (thank god you were sensible and voted him back in), you evicted nush, you evicted tania...

yes, they were all convtraversial, but in previous years, you've kept people like this in, jade for example.

This year, you've voted all the interesting ones out!

BB4 Was a failure. But the reason for it being a failure is not as obvious as it may seem. Everyone blames the producers, I DONT, I BLAME YOU!!

Jon is right in every respect except for the part where he wants to keep himself in.

True in many ways, but per-lease Jade is the exception. She should SO have gone in the first week.

AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

BB3 was the worst BB by far.

Couldnt agree more.

But I didnt like how Jon was trying to influence the voting on Friday but telling people not to vote for Nush.

Also what's this thing he has with Scott - I'm beginning to get worried how he gushes over him. He aint that fantastic.

Scott doesn't come across as a bit of a dullard in the highlights show but in the discussions they have on E4 he does come across as quite thoughtful and intelligent, which is probably why Jon likes him.

I totally agree with photo1, the public have made some real howlers this year in the votes.

Also though the housemates have been much more guarded from the start.

Nope, beg to differ, I disliked almost all of them, I didn't really care who won, and I couldn't actually wait for it to end.

Gruesome BB3.

What worries me is that producers will take on the 'boring' jibes and do something similar to BB3 next year.

According to this article the former Channel 4 executive that was responsible for BB4 is urging them to do exactly that.

Quote:
One of Ramsden's last duties at Channel 4 was overseeing Big Brother 4. "I think Channel 4 got nervous about the complaints and criticisms of excessive drinking, leery, boozed-up bad behaviour from the people in the house last year and they have erred on side of caution. They take their responsibility to those people very seriously indeed, and I know there were qualms about whether Jade [Goody] had been put in an abusive situation.

"I would bring back BB5, but say, 'Don't pussyfoot. Don't be ashamed of being a voyeur. Don't pretend to a higher motive'."

I disagree that BB3 was the worst, in my opinion it was the best. Lots and lots of people watched it and were hooked whereas in this series people watched a few highlight shows and got bored. I only watched the last week of BB1 and BB2 was very good but I didn't watch it as reguarly as I watched BB3 or 4, I think it took a bit of time for people to get into it and so BB3 was the first one that nearly everybody watched.

BB3 was ok. A long long way from being the worst. BB4 takes that prize "Easily"

I hope they don't go down the "passive" type BB path next year. BB should be entertaining and not try and simulate a sleeping pill.

I think you need a mix of people, as BB2 had, not too much one way or the other as we've had these last 2 years

Big Brother 2 must have had the most big characters of any series.

I mean, how did they find someone like Penny?

To make a successful BB they need to get a successful mix of people.

This year apart from Jon they have all been pretty bland except for when Ray goes off on one. And not a real mix of backgrounds - all seem pretty middle class to me.

Last year they had a mix of classes, but the age range wasnt right.

BB2 was perfect. There was a mixture of ages Amma, Helen and Brian at the bottom end with Dean, Stuart, Josh and Penny in their 30s. With the others in the middle. There was also a mixture of backgrounds and the interaction worked.

The problem is that now people think they know what is needed to win BB and that is how they behave. They play to the cameras and do what they think will be liked. Next year they will have to pick very carefully.
