Default Nush article in the Daily Express

The following is a chunk taken from the Daily Express yesterday. It was part of an article about Nush and her yoga and health tips. But I was most interested in this bit at the end!

-----------------------------------------------------

Talking about getting up close and personal, Nush denies rumours about spending the weekend with fellow Big Brother contestant Scott Turner after he left the house on Friday.

“Something could have happened in the house,” she says. “It was on the verge of happening but something triggered in me and I knew rushing into another relationship wasn’t the right thing to do.”

She is still reeling from the betrayal by her boyfriend of three year, Geoff, who went public about their relationship. “I was devastated as before I went into the house we have promised each other never to do that,” she says.

“It cam as a massive shock and left me with a tainted memory of what had been a lovely romance. I felt that, after three years, I hadn’t really got to know him. I didn’t know the man who was willing to lower himself to that extent.

“We don’t even speak anymore. Now if Geoff wants to ask me something, he’ll go through a journalist – it’s very hurtful.”

Although she eventually wants to settle down and have kids, Nush revels in her present single status. “I’m not emotionally ready for another relationship,” she says. “Of course, I flirted with Scott and I adore him. We already have some projects lined up, so I’m going to be seeing him loads.

“Scott has been a really good friend and a true gent about me taking my time. Who knows what the future will bring? I’m just enjoying things for what they are right now.”

----------------------------------------------------

So there is hope for her and Scott yet!!

What a lovely picture Di!

Is that from the night of the Ray/Steph row when Scott and Nush were talking on the sofa and Scott said "Go away we're canoodling" to get rid of the others?

Good for Nush and Scot, I've been impressed with Nush on Rise, I think she'd make a good presenter. How about an alternative sort of lifestyle programme from her, I'd watch it. It would make a change from the tedious Changing Rooms and Carol Vorderman type crap on the TV at the moment. By the way I'm still waiting for my new Avatar as well Mark. Check your e-mails. If everyone can have Will Young, Darious and Dermit O'leiry up then I want the my mug replaced with the lovely Nush. I'm sick of my face, I see it enough having to shave.

You're absolutely right, kaphc!

I spent the best part of yesterday watching my video of that night/early morning.

The whole Ray/Steph argument was very interesting. What I hadn't realised was that Ray and Steph were at each other's throats for about 15 mins before the bit that was shown on the C4 program. We only saw Ray's tears that night but Steph was very upset when talking to Jon, Cam and Scott about it in the garden.

And as for Scott and Nush .......

Thankfully E4 kept the cameras on them for most of that night after "the argument" and there's A LOT of flirting going on between them that never made it to the C4 program. Loads of touchy feely and face stroking. Was nice to watch

Di, that sounds like an excellent bit to have on video (I'm not at all jealous - Ok, yes I am!).

I've just been watching my "highlights of BB4" video but unfortunately I didn't manage to tape that bit. I did tape the geogrpahy task though, where Nush got left out of the reward room and there were a couple of interesting points:

She had to turn the two boards round to show the others and Scott said something like "Your a lot prettier than my geography teacher was."

Then when she was left out of the reward room, he was one of the first to go up to her and said something into her ear, but unfortunately I couldn't hear what. She definitely smiled a bit and cheered up though.

Shall we just turn this thread into the Nush/Scott appreciation society?!

Just delurking to add my thoughts on Scott/Nush.

I sincerely hope that things work out for these two, because it was such a joy to watch their relationship develop while they were in the house. They got really close in the house, in fact by the time Nush was evicted they were virtually inseparable, and I'd like to think their connection wasn't purely a product of being cooped up in a house together for a long period of time. All the playfighting, flirting and touchy-feely (as good as that was too watch) often masked the fact that they were the best set of friends in the house. Take for example a conversation between Jon, Nush and Scott about girls drinking pints. Jon was adamant that he would prefer a girl drank a pint rather than a half but Nush knew straightaway that Scott disagreed. Not because they'd previously talked about it but because she knew how he thought about certain things. Sounds petty but contrast that to Steph not knowing Cameron's views on gay marriage, which in my eyes, was pretty fundamental thing to know about the guy. (Even if they never talked about it, how could she NOT have figured that out?)

Scott and Nush have enough similarities in personalities for it to work like a shared sense of humour (and IMO, you can't stay up till 6.00 on three separate occasions chatting to someone unless you have some solid common ground) but they're different enough that it keeps them on their toes so to speak.

I think Nush is doing the right thing by taking some time out for herself instead of rushing into another relationship. It would be good for Scott and Nush to get know each other again, this time in the "real world", without other HMs, cameras or any pressures about what the public might think.

Either way, I think at the very least there's a genuine friendship there and if that's all it turns out to be, then that's fine. But I'm oh-so-hoping that they put all the sexual chemistry that they have between them to good use some time in the future!

Hi there, Inspector Paranoid - welcome to TiBB.

I'm so glad you 'delurked' to make your excellent first post here. I have to say that I agree with every word.

I too feel that, if Nush and Scott are to get together, then it will be at their own pace and in their own time. They do look good together, and I have my fingers crossed that, given some peace and privacy, their relationship will blossom in the 'real world'.

Look forward to hearing more from you on the forum.

Sounds good to me, Nush was the best thing about this years bb. I didn't really like Scot but when he took care of Nush that night I thought he was alright. It's touch and go weather they'll ever get together but I'd like to think so.

Maybe the Big Brother diarys are going with them, maybe that's what she meant about seeing lots of Scot. Jon was saying on Rise that they wanted Cameron and Steph to go to Chicargo, but Gos went instead. It would be good to see Nush and Scot abroad though.

Yes I was very excited Di!! Good for them!

As much as I would like to "spy" on their holiday, I think a camera crew is the last thing they need right now.

BTW, great post Inspector Paranoid - welcome to the forum. It was very interesting to see what you spotted about Nush picking up on Scott's views about women drinking.

I also agree that they need some time away from the media to find themselves again in the real world
