I like the soap threads / music threads / BB threads

What I don't like however is the rising number of quiz threads, cos I seriously can't be bothered to answer a million questions just to be given an answer which doesn't even apply to me

It was different because Kate wanted fms to have to 'register their desire to be part of the debate'. That's why it was different.

So why the need for people to 'put their names down as wanting to take part in a debate'.

If people want to put up a post, they should be allowed to. The minute you mention ''other than that....'' ... there should be no ''other than that''.

I don't know if the thread is still around Kate, but I am sure that the main thrust of it was people had to state they wanted to take part in the debate .... that was the intial premise of your idea...... and it only became diluted into people taking turns to chose topics.

That's off the top of my head without checking back on it.

Dont get riled pyra , It would be open to everone kate clarified that yesterday...She only suggested it wouldn't be micheals thing but there was no question of restricting anyone as far as I saw...
Also the idea was the thread topic would be available to view before the 'debate' started so anyone who wished to comment had the chance.
Again I'm not entirely sure but thats how I saw it.
