Default Do you leave your TV on standby?

I was watching the news last night and there was some report saying that we use far too much energy and we will have no natural resources left by 2050.
It said that one of the main energy wasters was leaving your TV on standby.
I don't know about anyone else but I've never left a TV on standby ever, let alone overnight, and always switch it off by the button on the actual box, and I was just wondering how others leave their TV overnight?

i swtich off all my electrical appliances every night. Except my electric Black & Decker multi purpose sander, i leave that on all night, as the buzzing noise helps me sleep.
