Time to find the fine specimens at number 9. Or at least one of them, as I shall now explain.

The top 10 of this poll we all expected to be closely fought, but for the men it proved to be more then that, as we have a three-way tie for seventh place. The first of those 3 is to be revealed now, and it is a new entry from the show's most recent series. A character who may not have been an airtime hog, but certainly captured the attention of the female viewers whenever he was on screen, an alternate casting choice, but someone who the voters wouldn't want to replace.

Let us continue the ranking by revealing position 6 for the males and the females:

Our male entry is very much a high mover, in last years poll he managed to break the top 20 but this time it's a huge jump of 10 places. This housemate may be hindered by traits traditionally seen as unattractive (namely ginger hair) but his wit, charisma and troublesome sense of humour made him endearing to the viewers and as seen here to the females in particular.

Whilst our female entry is actually one half of yet another tie vote, the last of this ranking thankfully though. This housemate was one of the breakout characters of what I feel was one of the most underrated series of them all, and was a housemate who arguably had more revolve her in terms of romance in the house then any other housemate in the series. As every man (and Angel) found themselves taken in by her Irish charms. She has also charmed you into giving her a top 10 placing in this ranking.

I shouldn't really write that much about this housemate, as he is probably the most talked about contestant of the channel 5 era of Big Brother, a divisive figure that was either a refreshing change to the vacuous tone of BB12 or a miserable bore depending on which side of the line you fell. A housemate noted for witty one-liners, his showmance with a top-10 female and for some quite shocking dad-dancing.

As for our female update one of last year's podium placers is knocked off her perch this year, having to settle instead for joint fifth place. A stunning girl from down under, but unlike the other BB australian a personality that was heartwarming and likable to boot. She made an impact with the audience to earn herself third place in her series, and she's done so again to get herself so far up this ranking.

New update time, in the Olympics they say 4th place is the most heart-wrenching place to finish, so lets see who fills those positions in this ranking.

Thankfully for the men there is no fourth place, as we have yet another tie, this time for third place, beginning with a housemate who was somewhat of an early boot, this being despite being considered as one of the favourites to win up until this point.

Time to reveal our bronze medalists, with tomorrow being the moment you're all waiting for when I reveal Big Brother's hottest male and female according to you, the viewer.

As for today however our male third placer is someone who shares a lot in common with the fourth placed male, in that they were both in the same series, both had major female fanbases and even went against each other in the former's eviction. A colourful character, this housemate showed himself to be much more then his male model role suggested, and has earned third place in the BB hotness poll.

This housemate may not be as attractive in terms of looks as other below her in this poll, but what she does have in spades is a classiness and elegance unlike any other female housemate, an attribute which combined with a gracious personality makes her very deserving of her top 3 place, a position you remember she held in last year's poll.
