No question he deserves a rebuke from BB. The problem is that with all these warnings ( AND why weren't they issued before?) some of the housemates , like caroline, are attempting to change their WHOLE personality.

Agreed. Seriously. With all these "warnings" over the slightest little thing, Big Brother is essentially manipulating how the housemates act. I want to see them be "real" and act as they normally would, not be sheeps and act as Big Brother deems "acceptable". That's not the point of the show. If someone is a racist/nasty/bullying, then the public won't vote for them and they'll be evicted. That right there should be the punishment. And if the public doesn't choose to evict them, then that's just the nature of the game. I'd like to give Big Brother a warning tbh, stop trying to manipulate how the housemates act.

I guess I'm just a purist. Put a bunch of people in the house, and video everything. Let them be. Obviously if someone draws a fake mustache on and starts walking around shouting "heil hitler", step in. But short of blatant and malicious racism & bullying, etc., let the public decide the outcome. I would like to agree with your statement as a whole. However, C5 cannot be seen to be condoning behaviour that is going to get a whole lot of complaints made to OFCOM. It's a worm's nest.

I guess so. I'm just curious to know the legal ramifications and power of ofcom. I mean, obviously Channel 5 can't control what comes out of peoples mouths, nor should they really. It's a reality TV show afterall, people who watch are well aware of that. So really, what can ofcom do? In a country where they take a twitter user to court for joking to his girlfriend that he was going to blow Robin Hood Airport sky-high (I just repeated it! :O) you have to be very, very careful. It's a sad and ****ty state of affairs, but This is England.

I'm sure they could try and shut BB down if they really wanted to, but I'm curious as to the legalities of it. If BB challenged the shut down in court, surely they would come out on top....? At least one would think so....

Yes I suppose I am lucky, Canada certainly has its fair share of problems, but it does appear we aren't as bothered with achieving 100% Political Correctness like what appears to be the case in England these days.
