Looks impressive with that amount of extras. Apparently it was filmed over 3 days and Scouting For Girls and The Proclaimers performed among other local acts.



The show's series producer Stuart Blackburn added: "This festival represents the modern countryside: vibrant, young and energetic. It was an amazing feat to put together an entire festival in such a short space of time.

"Technically it is probably one of the biggest challenges we have ever had on the show but the end result looks great.''

It's something that only Emmerdale can really pull off, the end result looks great too, looks like Amy and Kerry are getting on better by then too

I'm finding myself quite looking forward to this, no other soap has done anything as big as this. Apparently the storyline was initially planned to tie in with one near Creskeld Hall (aka Home Farm), but that festival was pulled, so Emmerdale had to make their own

The real festival was 'MFEST', which was due to be held in the grounds of Harewood House (where the Emmerdale set is based) in July, but it was cancelled due to bad weather. Some of the acts that were due to perform included Texas, The Human League, Bob Geldof, Paul Heaton, The Levellers, Beverley Knight, Heaven 17, Inspiral Carpets, Secret Affair, Glen Matlock, Soul II Soul, The Farm, Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle and Scouting for Girls...

That was a shame. I would have loved to have seen The Human League and Heaven 17 on Emmerdale. That would have just been surreal.

Emmerdale said they'd definately think about doing another one next year, hopefully it might attract bigger names the second time around
