What the **** is this thread? Tonight's elimination felt really flat and kinda predictable after last week and so the last thing I was expecting was for someone to be up in arms about it...I mean really? Aren't we just clutching at straws now?

I hate to break it to you but, um...she's entitled to her opinion. Now personally I wouldn't have cared who had stayed (although perhaps District3 going would've been better for Union J, but meh) but I can see why she sided with the guys - at the end of the day even if Melanie's vocal ability far exceeds District3's, she's never going to win and she isn't particularly commercially viable either. That's not to say the boy band are going to win but clearly they're more marketable so I can see her train of thought.

Honestly though? If she hadn't have gone this week she'd have gone soon...is it really that important?

Yes my ears can't take anymore of District3, Melanie just got lost in the crowd with a weird song choice which I thought she pulled off personally.

We were all slagging off Louis' wrong decision last week, so it's not really picking opportunities to target Tulisa.. she and Louis were both voting with their reproductive organs per respective week.

Well,I think I would have voted to send District 3 home even after the sing off but the judges are entitled to make the decision as they see fit to.

Personally,I was again, as I was last week, pleased to see it go to deadlock, it should be the people paying to vote who decide who goes out and again the blame lies more with Gary who has not in my view served his Female acts well at all.
Also, it was the public who voted Melanie and District 3 into the bottom 2 and it was also the public who gave Melanie the least votes cast.

I wish we had got more deadlocks last year too.The more the merrier for me, 2 of the judges votes are void anyway as they will usually vote for their own acts to stay obviously, so without an independent team of 3,4 or 5 people to decide who goes out then deadlock for me and the voting viewers deciding who does go suits me perfectly.

It seems Gary Barlow doesn't know what the voting viewers do really like and want after all.

Yeah I know it's a joke but I didn't get it.

Thanks for explaining it anyway.

She should get back to babysitting Dappy and leave the judging to the professionals, considering she probably wouldn't even make it past the producers auditions herself.

Neither Melanie or District 3 were/are going to win or even get in to the top 5 so what does it matter really?
It isn't as if Jahmine or Ella was sent packing - and Tulisa always favours the young uns anyway.

She was the winning judge last year, remember!
But I hope Nicole wins this year with Jahmine. Nicole is on FIRE!

Maybe she preferred District 3 to Melanie, I did?.... there should be no judges vote it should always be the public vote that decides who stays, whats the point in voting if your vote is going to be overruled by the judges?

melanie was not a pop star nor did she have the x factor. she should be in a west end muscial maybe but she would never win the x factor. i dont suppose district 3 will win either. after sat night james is the outright winner for me anyway and i was an ella fan until sat night
