Default Advice on laptop/tablet/netbook crimbo prezzie please.

Want to get my son a laptop for christmas but am totally bamboozled with them all and need to spend as little as poss.
It's mainly for youtube and games, would a netbook or tablet do?

i got my i pad from a chinese website. it was only £42. they also have laptops.

Erm, not keen on that idea vanessa, would rather stick to the high st retailers thanks though .

The best laptop I ever owned is a Toshiba satelite,i have had a few others since then,but the Toshiba is always the one that has never given me any trouble,and it's good for games.Just dont get an Asus they are **** and customer service is none existant,Dell is also quite good as is Fujitsu .

My sis coming with her lappy tommoz so I can order the dell as it's an online exclusive, thanks loads nessa!

You might wanna look at the Nexus 7, Kizzy? It's a good little tablet that's reasonably fast and it's only £159. Here's the link to it if you want - https://play.google.com/store/device...exus-home-page

That or you could wait week or so. Apple are supposedly announcing a smaller, cheaper iPad.

Apparently the ipad mini will cost under £200 but will be wi-fi only.
