Well I'll definitely be there tonight with a glass of champagne raising a toast to Concorde and warming myself up after hours of standing in the cold to see this beautiful plane.

So keep that stool warm for me please ROB

Can I apply for the vacant space at the end of the bar?
Sorry ROB. I am afraid that that particular space is MINE in between serving the regulars when the bar manager does not turn up which seems to be every day ! She is heading for the 'sack' I am afraid.
You may have the space next to it. Of course everyone can reserve a 'special ' seat at my bar....and yes it is a bar whatever others might be inferring. The 'special' seats can be reserved by buying a season ticket - just like at the football !!! I am always happy to make a ready buck or two

Mrs. O'Leary, you are dressed for the job suggested and may start immediately . Well done that woman.

I am ready for a stiff drink myself. Mr. Boris and I bought a sofa to go with the 2 recliner chairs we already had.....nothing is easy. They have not delivered the slightly scuffed one we saw in the showroom as arranged, but a brand new one and it is a different colour. The one we saw was dark navy. The invoice says it is black( that is how dark it looked in the showroom) the one delivered is a brightish French blue. As an 'arty' type person I carry colours well in my head and this is NOT the one I saw even allowing for bad lighting ! I almost GIVE UP !
Oh well i suppose i could put it in the 'snug' where the chosen few can fight over it !!! LOL

Cheers all. Have a good night

Afternoon all - glad my favourite stool was free for my lunchtime drinkie poo.

Back to work today - cold but the sun is shining - why couldnt it have been like this yesterday when me and OH spent two hours plus standing in the rain and cold. Still that hot toddy I had in THE BAR last night did the trick and warmed the cockles of my heart.

See ya all later.

Glad to hear that my 'special' receipt has the desired effect on the 'cockles of your heart' Busy Bee.

Must admit to being a trifle worried about my livlihood though. You were my only customer today and last night they were pretty thin on the ground. perhaps it was my trying to sell 'season tickets ' for the bar stools. But a gilr does have to earn a living somehow. If things don;t look up I will be bankrupt !!!!!
perhaps you could tell your friends about my ''hot toddy'. It is very beneficial on a cold night, a real winter warmer !

I enjoyed that hot toddy so much I'm back again.

But just a suggestion how about introducing a selection of cocktails - can charge the earth you just put in a couple of umbrellas and a bit of fruit, call it something exotic and rake in the cash.

Any suggestions for names how about

Well I'm back here this morning, and no sign of any disturbances! The coast must be clear.

Hmmm ... think I'll settle down in the corner with my bacon buttie!

Think that half of lemonade has gone to your head sticks. You have been 'sticker posting' instead of 'thread posting'. I recognise your style in that poster. !!!!

We are not a 'den of iniquity'. We are a reputable company. In fact we do not have a 'den' but a 'snug' !

If anyone else hears 'tittle tattle and rumour' please let me know.Methinks it has been listened to before at another time !!!lol

Well it's a relief to see this place open again though I don't think the word has quite got around yet as its a bit quiet.

I think this is the ideal opportunity for me to offer to buy everyone in here a drink.

Cheap round

Just bringing all the coffee stuff in.

Had a thought, while in the Borris Bar, we could offer "Irish Coffee" and Coffee liqueurs in the evening

Those of us in the 'snug' will not be watching Pop Idol !!!! In fact we are testing the 'Irish coffee' that sticks made us earlier. You should try it LEE. Mind you it is more expensive than that 'round' you bought earlier. Don't think you had to spend more than 50p LOL

Someone at a Christmas Farmers market, where I was getting supplies today suggested Rum or Brandy in coffee. Due to metabolic reasons I can not indulge in alcohol so anyone willing to be guinie pigs so we can "develop" a new range of coffee liqueurs ?

I was sussing out the competition today at Starbucks (See attached image),where they are doing a coffee and mint, with cream and chocolate topping. So I need to get cracking on that side of things.

If only I had thought to pick up some Christmas pudding coffee

I'm a real Dry Martini woman myself.

Could you get me a nice one or three Boris please?

I've had a hard week and what could be nicer to relax with at the end of your bar on a Saturday night

oh I love olives, tell me Boris do you have olives on the bar and little tapas and nibbles. I love all those tempting little fattening things. Mind you I went right off salted peanuts after someone told me that guys in bars go to the loo, never wash their hands and then grab a handful of peanuts, yuk, how disgusting is that?

We do LEE...thank you !!!

Now about the nibbles on the bar.
In my other life I am used to checking the hands of 'small' boys . I can tell at 10 paces if soap has been used. Therefore I can ussure you that chef ALWAYS washes his hands in a very thorough manner. he prepares all the little goodoes for us and has such a delightful way if presenting then all. Do you like his latest???
I really think that banana and anchovies on toast is a rare treat !
