Just thinking should james release an album in about april? That way he makes the most of his sales and could release another in december for christmas sales.?

It didn't help Marcus Collins releasing his album literally off the back of TXF, although Marcus was absolutely terrible & had zero star quality.

Yes, he needs to. Release an album April... August release new single... December release another single to perform on The X Factor 2013 Semi Finale

Yes he should release his Music early as by the time the winner does release there Music, the next big X Factor acts are around and the previous winner before them get's left behind by the fickle public.

First single should be in time for the BGT semi-finals, so around May/June, that way they can perform on there. I've always thought about the winner's progression.

Then the second single and album in October in time for the first X Factor live show.

Waiting 5 to 6 months between first and second single would be way too long

It's only really four months between June and October, but then in that case release the second end of August/start of September, hold back the album till the live shows with possibly a third single ready for December.
