Default \'Fame Academy\' to be booted out of the Academy building?

From today's Online Sun:

Quote:
TELLY’S Fame Academy is set for the boot from its home tonight after contestants were branded “neighbours from hell”.

The show’s pop wannabes lived in £35million Witanhurst House during both hit series. But the local council looks likely to ban them after a string of complaints.

Neighbours in posh Highgate, North London, say the hopefuls — including last year’s winner Alex Parks — played DEAFENING music late into the night.

They also claim they were kept awake by HELICOPTERS, LIGHTS, SMELLY generators — and were overrun with fans dropping BOTTLES and PINCHING parking spaces.

Camden officials accused producers Endemol of causing “irreversible damage” to the Grade II* listed house with illegal scaffolding and internal changes.

The ban on the BBC1 show returning is due to be rubber-stamped tonight.

Resident Ewa Wimbleton, 37, said: “I wouldn’t be sad if they never came back.”
Yikes! Hope this isn't true!

I watched quite a lot of the live streaming at nights, and I NEVER heard the students playing 'deafening' music - did anyone else? In any case, they were all called inside the Academy by midnight if I recall correctly.

Sounds like a touch of NIMBY behaviour from the posh residents - probably feel it will have an effect on the value of their property.

I heard that they hadn't decided if another series of Fame Academy would be made but probably not.

However they are going to do another Comic Relief Fame Academy in 2005.

I heard pretty much the same James shame they have not decided to do an FA yet but on the bright side another Comic Relief FA should be great!
