on a serious note though, I think it's just the eyebrows....the other facial features arn't that similar and the mannerisms are not similar at all. Alec has a much bigger mouth and he's much more masculine.

Those particular Canadians sound like Americans because most of middle and western Canada was actually colonized by Americans. Most Anglo-canadians are immersed in American culture. They sound just like the Americans that they are next to... Washington, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michegan... 90% of Canadians live along the US border.

Why do Belgians speak French? Why do Austrians speak German?
