Ohh my God! This is getting way out of hand...It must be because of the bullying/Racism issue.

I heard one carphone customer
on Radio 5 yesterday
and she said she had stopped her Phone Contract over this show.

So it is political now.

Everything thats connected to BB will somehow be made into something evil! I hope people don't start hating Russell and Davina though.

Oh god, this has been blown WAY out of proportion by the press.

I don't think the Carphone Warehouse is in anyway "moral" they just know that the viewers who will jump on the racism bandwagon...

Yeah exactly..But its gone to far now, If BB had sorted this out atthe first sign of bullying/Rasicm then it may all have been sorted by now.

Racism, they should have sorted out, but bullying has happenned in all series of BB so I don't see the problem. If Carphone Warehouse gave a tosh about bullying then they would have pulled out last year when Shabaz was bullied, but since they didn't have the press blowing it out of proportion they didn't have anything to fear. It's all about money.

Yes, But im talking in general, The bullying thats going on now is far more extreme IMO, When it was Shabaz he bought a lot of it on himself by hiding the food ect ect, Shilpa has done nothing that I can see to warrant this treatment from Jade, Danielle and Jo.

2 millions views were watching before this row exploded, compared to previous years, which means there is a decrease

I have to disagree, I thought locking Shabaz out and stealing his towel was awful. Let's not forget that almost the whole house was against him, here it's just three mardy girls.

And i've mentioned this in another thread, just because someone has "brought it on themselves" does it somehow make it justified?

I use CW's/TalkTalk ADSL package and they in no way have any morals at all, so this is obviously some kind of publicity stunt.

No not at all Edwin..Bullying should never be justified..But Shabaz was also a bully then if thats the case..Hiding the HM's food..thats bullying, Its like at school if someone hid your pencil case, That's classed as bullying.

Apparently this withdrawal is only going to last one day. Doubt the newspapers will tell you that though

So is the friday night eviction crowd booing certain housemates, but I don't ever hear anyone complaining about that.

Also, you're right, but I do think the word 'bullying' is used too lightly, people should learn to stick up for themselves, and fortunately Shilpa has done so.

Reality TV Show Sponsor Pulls Out
Thursday January 18, 02:38 PM

The Carphone Warehouse has suspended its sponsorship from the Celebrity Big Brother show after alleged racist comments sparked thousands of complaints. The company ordered Channel 4 to remove its name and branding from the programme with immediate effect.
The move came after last night's episode saw an escalation of alleged racist bullying directed at Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty.

Charles Dunstone, The Carphone Warehouse CEO, said: "Our concern has rapidly mounted about the broadcast

behaviour of individuals within the Big Brother house.
"We are totally against all forms of racism and bullying and indeed this behaviour is entirely at odds with the brand values of The Carphone Warehouse.

"As a result we feel that as long as this continues we are unable to associate our brand with the programme.

"We had already made it clear to Channel 4 that were this to continue, we would have to consider our position.

"Nothing we saw last night gave us any comfort. Accordingly, we have instructed Channel 4 to remove our sponsorship name and branding with immediate effect."

Up to 27,000 viewers agree with Shetty - they have complained to TV regulator Ofcom about fellow housemate Jade Goody's behaviour towards the Indian actress.

Some have defended Goody, saying she is not racist, just ignorant.

However, The Perfume Shop has also decided to withdraw sales of her perfume from its shelves following the controversy.
