Agree with Marsh here tbh, it's pathetic tweeting him the link to this thread just so he can see nasty comments about himself, and Patrick you seriously need to stop acting like your some kind of spokesperson for BB fans, not everyone agrees with your opinions about him fgs.

He tries so hard and it just sounds ****. After C4 BB I couldnt imagine big brother without him and now the thought of him leaving is a wet dream. He's so ****ing irritating, he just puts to much emphasis and tries to make his words sound like a chav, that and he's not big brother.. so why are they trying to make him big brother, Its ridiculous

Agreed.

I am really hoping the level of posting picks up in this section by the time the series starts its so cringeworthy at the moment.
Hopefully some more mature and rational posters will appear once its showtime.

If someone tweeted me telling me I was **** at my job I probably wouldn't pay much attention, I really wouldn't care what some kid behind a keyboard thought.

Also, having done VoiceOver/ TV narration training, you get directed in how you read the script, same as you do for standard acting. He's clearly been told to do his work in such a way, just as anyone else is in their line of work.

I definitely think the producers told him to talk like that! They think by him speaking like that it will make the show more exciting and also, cut the long descriptions of what house mates are doing. Just say they are in the kitchen or something like that.

Since it all started again on C5 I was hoping Marcus would still be the voice over for the show as it wouldn't be the same, but since it started and his loud shouting down the mic, I just cringed. I really hope he tones it down this series.
