Default The problem with Dirk

I had him down as a winner in the first few days but his attitude stinks, man.

Jo summed him up perfectly when she nominated him.
He doesn't like fun in the house because he's been living in some mud hut in the woods without anyone around. He only laughs if it is at his own jokes.

Believe me, Dirk Benedict wont win CBB5

I don't think he'll win, but I still think he's a good enough HM and has enough fans to make the final as well as be in the top 5 at least - and IMO he deserves it.

Dirk is a blessing to the house! Especially after all this nonsense with the news etc.
And lol, yeah he may only laugh at his own jokes, because the others' aren't funny.. I'm really enjoying watchig him as a housemate, he's giving me a good couple of giggles today, and that's needed.
Dirk To Win!!

Unfortunately, I don't think he will win - although he deserves it. He is the most genuine person in there.

After being a fan of Dirk for a long time, I know that your opinions of him are totally at odds with what people generally say.

Fans who meet Dirk always say what a nice guy, he is, friendly and obliging and wants to make time for his fans. People he work with say the same - that he is a great guy, good to work with. He gave up a lot of potential work, because he considered bringing his sons up more important (his sons stayed with him after he and his ex-wife divorced) - I respect that.

I actually think he is a really funny guy, and I love his dry sense of humour.

In the house, he has mainly mixed with Jermaine and Shilpa (and Ian and Cleo to a lesser extent) - I don't blame him...those are exactly the people I would want to talk to as well.

Don't forget, he is 61 - he probably can't be bothered with the bitchiness and nastiness he has seen from most of the females in the house. I can't blame him for that either.

He is quite a solitary person, and doesn't feel the need to surround himself with others to make himself feel better. That's an admirable trait.

I don't think he knew what to expect when he entered BB. He did it because his sons wanted him to. It's obvious that he doesn't have a game plan, unlike so many others in there - although there's nothing wrong with having a game plan in that show!

I still think Dirk is a worthy winner, but I predict that Shilpa will win it.

No. 1, he isn't a true star. He's a faded star and his only claim to fame is the A Team... and we all know the brother Mr. T was the most memorable in that.

No. 2, he isn't all that genuine. He is coming across as a killjoy.

Ruth, I love you, but you know we disagree

Lately he's seemed quite miserable, I wish he'd go back to that fun-loving American we all loved in the early days of CBB5.

I dont know why he is there. He hasn't spoken to the girls this morning over their waterfight. Cleo is staring daggers at him, but he overreacted yesterday to her fun.
