Default What Jade, Jack, Jo and Danielle did isn\'t that bad?

I don't see why such a big fuss have been created over a bit of bullying. I for one am a Shilpa fan but I hardly thing what they did is worth the hate they are all getting at the moment.

All they did was dislike another housemate. Is that really that bad?!

I just feel that what they have done isn't even that bad of a thing to do. This is getting a hell of a lot more publicity in papers and the news than murders and stuff A LOT worse that is happening.

What exactly have they done that is so bad to be hated the way they are being? Call a few names and giggle like girls. Hardly that bad is it!

*Going to get slated for having an opinion*

Opinions...?

I think it is bad thinking about the actual things they said, the context they said it in, the fact that they're on national TV , the fact that they obviously have no respect whatsoever, they're very ignorant, extremely bitchy, sheep-like and following the crowd, two-faced. I know stuff like that does happen on BB, but to me there is a limit. And all the bullies crossed that line IMO.

Basically, they shouldn't have bullied Shilpa in the first place. Go watch the times when Danielle was taking the mic out of Shilpa's voice, go watch the time when Jade had that long shouting rant at Shilpa, swearing at her and trying to put her ultimately down.

Apparantly, that Jade has a history of bullying according to Jade's gran, so it's no surprise really. Jade also buillied Sophie in BB3.

Oh and not to mention the 'f' off home' comment from Daniel which could ultimately be percieved as a racial undertone.

Why did nothing like this happen when the exact same thing happened last CBB?

No one gived a **** about Jodie being treated like Shilpa is being at the moment and in my opinion it was a lot worse for Jodie. Just because a lot didn't like Jodie doesn't make it right the way she was treated.

Just because Shilpa is liked that makes everyone absolutely hate the other 3 girls (oh and jack... forgot he was still there tbh). Shilpa has 4 people against her when Jodie has the whole house apart from Chantelle and Preston.

Nothing even happened about Jodie and Tracie being attacked by Pete Burns, but it's different with Jo, Jade, Danielle and Jack?

Wasn't Barrymore picked on also? I don't remember.

But it was way worse this time than anything that has gone before on Big Brother.

There are so many charities and schools signed up to anti-bullying contracts that maybe this is a way of showing that it is not OK to persecute another person for the way they talk, look, dress, size, age, race, etc etc.

It seems sad and depressing that this behaviour is still going on -- the odd tease and comment made in jest maybe OK if it meant not to detriment a character but this shows how some people have deep seated insecurites inside of them. Maybe it is their upbringing or standing in social circles that do this but in an ideal world we should help one another get through what is a hard and difficult life we face nowadays, whether you have money or not.

There will always be competion in the workplace, school, sports and sometimes the only way people seem to think to beat others is to bully and intimidate.

I have been fortunate in the way that I have never had any major bullying against me - just petty stuff, but if we show are own strength and confidence you can beat them. I do not have this 'victim' mentality I feel it makes them the winners if you let this behaviour get to you.

To dislike somebody you need to have good and valid reasons - the girls I feel did not, maybe Shilpa may have come across in a full of herself manner but considering her life outside of the house she has made the best of the situation and played the 'game' that is Big Brother.

Well first off all i didn't take much notice because i thought it was just bitching, but then when Danielle said the comment "she should F off home" and also when Jade started being nasty, thats when i really thought it was bullying, also it was basically 4 on 1 and Shilpa had no were to go to get away from it all, so it wasn't just girls having a bitch and a giggle it was Bullying.

No. Not at all. Barrymore was the one who was attacked Jodie the most! He's such a cock.

I don't think so. The only reason this one was worse was because of the press and news. Otherwise it was only mild bullying compared to other series.

They're different scenarios though, they're obviously not the exact same thing.
I could explain exactly what I feel but I think I've done it enough times.
At the end of the day, fair enough that you have your opinion, but it's evident that a lot of people felt that this time around it was worthwhile to complain etc., and what about the journalists themselves - a lot of them agree too!
Also, what's been done has been done now - in the last week I'd just like to see things settle. People who needed to have seen the show themselves and can make their own judgements. I still feel Jade isn't at all ruined, but obviously won't be accepted by the public in the same way again, and IMO deservedly so. As for Danielle, Jo and Jack - they're the ones who will have to fight their own battles when they come out.

Whats the difference between Saskia and Makosi and Jade and Shilpa?
Nothing.

Its just the fact Shilpa has a bigger fanbase.

4 on 1? Shilpa had Jermaine, Dirk, Ian and basically the whole house backing her up.

Jodie has Chantelle. Jodie's case was a lot worse but because Shilpa is more a star it suddenly makes it a lot worse!

Yes 4 on 1, they was not bullying Ian, Dirk and Jermaine were they, they wouldn't have the guts too anyway. Anything she did wrong they made fun of it or moaned didn't do it to anyone else Just Shilpa.

Saskia and Makosi - both sides gave as good as the got, and it wasn't two people, it was two groups of people.

Jade's clan and Shilpa - one-sided viciousness and hatred for no reason.

You can't bully someone just because you think they're stuck up though.
It's all about ignorance.
Shilpa obviously has a different aura about her, she is an international celebrity at the end of the day. But she's proven my initial judgements to be completely wrong, I think she's really nice and didn't deserve what she got - not at all.

Completely agree. It does ruin lives.

And one of the worst things about it is the bullies often never realise they are doing anything particularly wrong.

And in this case, it wasn't even 'a bit' - I thought they stepped way over the line.
So I can't understand how people can condone it.

Well...I wouldn't slate you for having an opinion - but I disagree with it. They were deliberately looking for things to keep having a go at her about (like making a point of seeing how the oven works for example). They would never let anything go - I mean, the chicken for example.

And the ranting that Jade had at her was awful. Disgraceful behaviour on Jade's part - and Danielle and Jo found it hilarious, which is terrible. Danielle's words were "That's brightened my day up."

I don't believe any of them are genuinely sorry. Danielle was still finding the whole thing hilarious until BB asked her about when she said, "I think she should ****** off home." It was obvious that she was worried about how she might be appearing to the viewers, and even THAT didn't stop her bitching about Shilpa (the next day she told Shilpa that she disagreed with some of the things Jade said to Shilpa during the argument, and the two of them were chatting very civilly - until Jade walked in, and Danielle immediately got her claws out again).

The only reason they are being nicer to Shilpa now is because they have drawn their own conclusions about why there was no crowd for Jade's eviction - it must be pretty obvious that Jade is unpopular because of her behaviour in the house - and they are most likely worried that they have come across badly too.

Whether you like someone or not is absolutely NO excuse for behaving that way to them.
