Default Has Helen been dropped by the Western Mail?

Now as you may know for some reason I buy a copy of the Western Mail on Tuesday morning from my local newsagent and scour the WM magazine for a certain column. But today WHERE WAS HELEN? No sign of her and no mention of her absence.

Is she too busy, is she on holiday, is she ill? My imagination took flight.

Cant wait till next week to see if she is back again. Of course, I could be sad and drop them an e-mail this week to find out. As if I would.

Oooh thats sad! One of our last contacts with Helen. I am sure that she will be back next week, but if not, there are only a few other things she could be doing...

Why not email them? Surely if helen knew that her column was aboutv to come to an end, she wotld have said a 'bye bye' to her readers.

Annoyingly, there isn't an email address for the editor, and I think marketing and business might be rather disinterested in a message about Helen.

Busy Bee - if you have the newspaper itself, any email or snail mail address on there for letters?

We will not let it happen!

Let's hope she is on a fantastic holiday with U-NO-WHO!

Just to let you know that an e-mail has been sent to the Western Mail this morning. Couldnt find a general one so sent it care of the readers pages.

I will let you know if I get a response - favourable or otherwise

As has been said I'm sure she would have said goodbye to everyone if it had been cancelled.

I will keep you informed.

She does still feature along with David Emanuel and Lowri Turner as one of the regular columnists as well!

HOT OFF THE PRESS

Just received this from the Deputy Editor -

thank you for your recent enquiry about Blinkin' Beautiful, Helen Adams'
column.

Unfortunately, the column has now come to an end. Helen is very busy
opening her own hairdressing salon in Hertfordshire and has several TV
commitments as well.

The good news is, Helen will be staying with WM as a roving
beauty-editor-at-large, and will appear in occasional features, trying out
new products or treatments, spas etc.

I will pass on your good wishes to her, and again, thank you for your
concern.

So now we know - TV commitments????, roving reporter - so I'll still have to buy the newspaper - wonder if she's busy with anything else.

Any comments you want me to pass on via this contact?

TIBB agent 003 1/2 over and out until my next assignment.

Agent Busy Bee, I am proud of you. You have performed over and above your duty.

Please ask for all our good wishes to be sent on. Better still, if you have the email address old friend, hot foot it to me so I can wax lyrical myself.

I think she did it very well. Good luck with the salon Helen. I can't wait to get my name down. Perhaps the sub- editor can get us the contact number? After all, if she can cut the hair of an international pop star, I think she can manage mine as well!

I think Helen (and poss Paul) must be stepping up their activity to earn a few extra quid for the future nuptials. We just know they will have to be lavish.

Sent an e-mail in reply to WM today as follows, hope you approve.

"Thanks for your prompt reply - greatly appreciated, I know you must be very busy.

Tuesdays will never be the same, but we understand that H is kept occupied with her salon and hopefully lots of tv commitments. One of the reasons we loved our Helen's insight into the beauty world (plus of course the occasional Paul mention) was it gave us a regular H fix LOL. Yes, I know its sad.

If you can pass a message on please tell her that we will miss the column, looking forward to seeing her back on the tv, and if she needs any volunteers to try out styles in the salon I can provide a list of people willing to travel to assist.!!!!"

PS ROB have sent you a U2U about address.
