Default Only Connect: Onlyay Onnectay

Hello and welcome to Only Connect, the quiz that does away with all the frivolities like "questions" and "prizes". Yes, what we care about here is the most fundamental concept of quizzing: Inspiration from complete confusion.

"But how do you play Only Connect?" I hear you cry. Well my friends, it is rather simple. The game is split into 4 rounds which will be explained as we go, but the only thing that varies from the rules of the actual show is this: Give a correct answer, you score the points and they go to the great OC leaderboard. Person with the most points at the end wins.

We begin with round one: Connections.

In this first round, you will be given up to 4 clues and you must find what connects them. Clues will be given periodically, but this can be done more quickly if you ask "Next clue". 5 points will be scored if you get it with one clue, 3 for two clues, 2 for three clues, and 1 point for all four clues. Example:

Clue 1 - A hammer and feather
Clue 2 - Six US flags
Clue 3 - Eugene Shoemaker's ashes
Clue 4 - Two golf balls

All items left on the Moon.
The first clue will be posted in the next post, good luck to everyone.

I've just found it on google too. Too hard. Can we have some easier ones please.

I got the Bette Midler films from the wall a few weeks ago. Not sure I should be proud my knowledge extends to films by Bette Midler.

Right, well since I started with a stinker and forget to cover my previous Only Connect tracks, we'll scratch this one down to experience :L



Vaseline is the Argentinian name for "Grease"
Shrek's Cat is the Israeli name for "Puss In Boots"
He's a Ghost was what "Sixth Sense" was called in China
and Die Slowly is the German title for "Die Hard"

Onto our next connection, and this is one I haven't used before so you won't be able to directly google it :L
