How to audition online for the next Big Brother...


Big Brother returns this summer and for the first time ever, you can apply to be a housemate online. Providing you're at least 18 years old, in early February you will be able to apply via the new E4 website. Successful applicants will be chosen by Big Brother to audition in person.

In early February, you will need to complete Big Brother's application form and upload a one-minute video to introduce yourself. The sooner you get your application in, the better your chance of being spotted by Big Brother, so get a head start by filming your video now.

Before you start work on your one-minute masterpiece, check out the ground rules...

At the start of your video you MUST say your first name (but NOT your surname) and that you want to audition for Big Brother 2007. So for example, if your name is John Smith, at the beginning of your video you would need to say: "Hello, I'm John and I want to be a Big Brother 2007 Housemate." If you fail to do this, or if you accidentally say your surname, your video will be rejected.

If any other people are featured in your video, make sure you have their consent.

Your video must not exceed one minute.

No music or singing, no matter how good you think your voice is.

Your video will appear online, so make sure you don't reveal anything you wouldn't want the world to see.

You can use a phone, webcam or video camera to make the video, but the higher quality the better. Remember to watch out for background noise and lighting too.

You'll also get the chance to help choose who enters the House by rating other potential housemates. The 50 most popular online applicants are guaranteed an audition - and one of them could be you...
