Do you vote so the person you like has more chance to win or do you vote on who you dislike the most?

My views are that if Shilpa isn't evicted THIS friday...she will go on to win. I am a fan of Ian, Dirk, Cleo and Jo. Jo is basically gone and it looks at this moment that Cleo will be joining her. So I was wondering how Dirk/Ian/Danielle/Jermaine fans vote...do you vote tactically...voting out Shilpa as she is the one people say will win it? Or do you vote out the people who you dislike?

I think Shilpa would go if people eliminated the competition and then the race to the finish line would be back on for all the other contestants. If Shilpa doesn't go this week I don't think anyone can beat her she will win. So if you want your fave contestant to stand a chance at winning you should vote out Shilpa on Friday. If you vote out the people you dislike then you are having a hand in your fave losing to Shilpa.

I usually vote for the people i dislike for example if i was going to vote this week then i would probably give a few votes to Shilpa and then maybe a couple to Jo but because we can pretty much predict whats going to happen i'm not going to bother wasting my money.

I vote for the ones I dislike. I will be voting for Jo on this occasion. I'm pretty sure that she will be the first one out, and voting will continue for a while for the next evictee. If that is the case, after Jo has gone, I will vote for Cleo.

Interesting question though GE! If I was voting tactically I would be voting Jo and Shilpa!

It seems so likely that Shilpa going to win it's not actually worth voting at all in any of the remaining votes. The only reason for voting in the next vote is if you really dislike someone, and then there is not much point in doing that they will all be gone by monday. They should have held fridays vote on wednesday.

You might as well save the money and buy a few cans of beer to drink while you watch the final. Voting for any other housemate to win is a waste of money.

The problem with tactical voting is it requires organisation of large groups of voters to work. Even if we did it on here we would hardly dent the number of votes cast.

But isn't this the BEST chance that you have in order to eliminate Shilpa? Or have you all decided that nothing will stop her now? We can predict what will happen (being jo and Cleo) and that will happen if people give in to easily. Ruth...as you want Dirk to win wouldn't that be much easier if Shilpa wasn't there? or do you dislike two others and cannot stomach a few days longer of them?

I think if Shilpa doesn't go on Friday then the final won't even been worthwhile watching as we know who will win. Predictions are not always what happens take it when we all thought Jack would go then Jackiey ended up leaving instead.

I really really want to get rid of Jo!!! However, I take your point, and I think I might even vote for Shilpa as well. I prefer her to Cleo, but Dirk has more chance of beating Cleo in the final than Shilpa!

Well, I think if Shilpa is evicted the show might very well be finished.

It would be embarrassing for Channel 4 for the victim of racist bullying to be voted out at the earliest opportunity, said to be one of the two most disliked out of five remaining housemates.

Take away all the bullying though and do you think Shilpa would still be there?...and would she still have a shot at winning? People like her for being her but alot of her votes are also sympathy votes. I think it is clear that the public doesn't stand for what went on and evicting Jade was a good step but does she need to win for it to regain credit or has that already been done by evicting Jade. I think her winning would be a nice ending but a boring/predictable one. She would be known as the victim winner that beat Jade rather than her own merits.

The Shipla fans are more organized hence the letter writing campaign to Ofcom. It wouldn't surprise me if this sort of thing wasn't going on behind the scenes by word of mouth, emails and on various non BB websites. The problem is if they are organise vote correctly they will still be able to save Shipla. They just have so many votes to start with.

I can't see anything stopping her winning the show. It's been that way since Jade opened her big mouth.

I wouldn't describe it as a sympathy vote for Shilpa, more a recognition of how she has dealt with the bullying in the house that is admired.

I don't think there is tactical voting going on. How would Shilpa fans know Dirk is a strong contender anyway instead of Cleo?

Just been playing with the numbers of the front page poll. If everyone voted twice and according to the poll results. Then the voting percentages would be as follows.

Jo 39.55%
Cleo 33.45%
Dirk 12.95%
Shilpa 10.65%
Ian 3.45%

It would take a lot to get Shilpa percentage high enough to see her go.

Yes but all that started from one person making the first step. Then the rest were just sheep...once something has been written over and over you start to "go along" with it and thats how it all spiralled out of control. Then once the media got wind of it it was all over the papers, tv, radio etc.

Dirk has a bigger fanbase than Cleo I would imagine and alot of oldies wanted Dirk to win from the start just because he was in the A team. Since then alot of all aged people have grown to like him. Even though Dirk had been edited to be grumpy boring etc Cleo has also been edited to look bad. I think it could be between Cleo/Dirk for second eviction unless something dramatic happens which sways it either way. But rather than people bothering to vote for Dirk or Cleo they should join forces and eliminate Shilpa because they would be looking ahead to the final rather than just letting whoever they like stay a few more days.

Then don't vote her out. It just an idea we are discussing. You don't have to follow it if you want Shilpa to win or you like her. It's just an idea.

If you did vote Grit...what would you vote based on?

I just feel people need to be looking towards the final rather than taking it a day at time. Shilpa is fave to win therefore if your a fan of someone else you should want to try eliminating the competition rather than someone you know will not win. Rather than Cleo and Dirk fans battling it out they should evict Shilpa as that is a wiser move...having your fave in the final is great but not so great when Shilpa is in the final as they will easliy lose out to her.

I voted for Nadia in the BB5 final but that was the only time. Basically I don't vote because I never love or hate any housemate I just want to be entertained by them. I like to watch the cliques form and observe the battle for control that inevitably happens.

I think Cleo has probably been the most entertaining in terms of how unintentionally funny she's been.

Tiara hounding Face was very uncomfortable viewing - in fact very close to harrasment - but very funny. Her reasons for why she did it cracked me up too.

Her reasons for nominating have been all over the place too.

I wonder what the voices in her head sound like. She needs extended psychotherapy.
