I find this really strange, and think it says something about peoples attitudes towards women (and actually, moreso, men). I don't particularly like Hazel... she's a silly, immature girl who has been a bit naive and she's sort of annoying to watch... BUT... what has she really done? Flirted with and tried to "get" a guy for a showmance / magazine deals / whatever. A bit pathetic definitely but she is single and free to do what she wants.

Daley in the other hand is the one who is hurting someone. Hazel has been branded an evil homewrecker but it would have come to nothing if he wasn't willing to have his home wrecked. Daley claims to have loved his girlfriend and yet has willingly broken her heart. Hazel owes the girl nothing - she isn't her friend... she hasn't even met her.

So why the Hazel hatred? Why less for Daley? honestly the implication is that "poor, stupid men" are powerless to resist the evil come-ons of a female and can't be blamed for being horny old dogs. That Hazel should have been considering his girlfriend, because of COURSE Daley would be powerless to resist..

Opinion seems to be starting to turn now and theyre both being equally blamed, but I have no idea why it started out skewed the other way in the first place. I still think in a Daley vs Hazel public vote, Hazel would go for what she's "done"... which is ridiculous. You don't have to like Hazel, she isn't very likeable really, but she hasn't done anything "morally wrong" whereas Daley has been outright vile to someone he's repeatedly claimed to love. Blatantly has no idea what the word means.

There have been several polls up asking if Daley should be removed from the house. The ones I've seen all have yes leading no 2 to 1. There is a vocal minority either outright defending Daley or suggesting he's a jerk, but it's really all Hazel's fault. Most people see it for what it is - someone who was raging and getting all worked up long before she entered the room, ultimately leading to an argument where he hit her.

Hazel is stupid, and she's playing way out of her league, but that in no way reduces Daley's responsibility for his own anger.

I know that since the safe house there's a real dark side to Daley that people are seeing - but I mean before that, when it was just the flirting (and dry humping) there was a real sense of it beig something that Hazel was "doing to" Daley and to his relationship... which I find very odd. Even Gina with her "you just don't do that, steal someone else's man" stuff. You can't steal someone who isn't willing to be stolen, it was never Hazels responsibility to make sure that Daley was faithful to his girlfriend, at all. There seems to be this idea that men can be "lead" or "stolen" by some evil temptress and ruin an otherwise good relationship... of COURSE you see this in films and pop culture all the time but it's nonsense. Daley is FULLY to blame for his actions with Hazel.

He is fully to blame for cheating, she is fully to blame for what basically amounts to sexual harassment (if a woman was pushing a man away saying no no no no, I'm serious, no, go away, and the man was forcing himself down towards her, saying he wouldn't go away until he got a hug, people would be livid). He should know better than to cheat, she should know better than to constantly harass someone in a relationship (and that goes for both Daley and Dan).

Talking about Hazel's role is not giving Daley a free pass, just like talking about Daley's is not giving Hazel a free pass.

He was actively engaging in flirting with those protests - they weren't "real protests". He was smiling, laughing, giggling and loving it and she was aware of that. If he had taken a serious tone and said "Hazel, I'm not comfortable with this" I think she would have stopped. The same does go for men and women - e.g. a woman giggling and saying "Oh, cut it out!" is not the same as one who is obviosuly uncomfortable turning down a flirtation. It's complicated and more about body language.

Often, he was saying "no, no hugs, go away" blatantly so she would say "why" and he could gesture emphatically at his erection. His motivation wasn't to turn her down... it was to draw attention to his penis, right from the start. Hazel seems like - for want of a better term - an "experienced flirt" and knew that, and was just playing along.

I like Gina, I find her amusing... but liking someone doesnt mean hanging on their every word, surely? I mean my favourite us Dexter and he is FULL of crap. Or maybe my favourite is Dexter *because* he's full of crap but in an amusing way...

It would be a shame if Hazel goes because of Ginas dislike. Like I said she isn't very likeable but I think definitely still has more to bring to the show than Daley, or Jackie, or the twins who overplayed their hand too early so we've seen all there is to see.

It's still early days and I think Ginas popularity will lessen by the end, I personally can't see her winning. If her early popularity means anyone she clashes with goes leaving a bunch of also-rans... it'll be a disaster.

the big brother studio audience always give the cheating guy a harder time than the cheating girl.....hes already been toasted by his missus....will we see hazels boyfriend on there crying and making her look even worse? noooo(if she has one/ has anyone asked her?) so this will play out with the cheating bloke looking much worse and he will be destroyed
