So I think if its weekly she wants Il be quoting £30 to £35 fornightly will be a bit more possibly £45 and if its monthly Il have to think about it.
That sounds Ok and if you know it's below an agencies rate go for it. As long as you've factored in your own costs of course.

Excellent advice from josy about the insurance, thats a must.
I would look around the property too first, you don't wat to be blamed for any breakages/stains that were there before you started, make a note of any.
Vistaprint do cards cheap too I think

thanks kizzy I never thought of looking for breakages etc. I know vista print do cards but I did my own flyers and I think my brother in law can do credit card size cards as well. I really don't want to be working for the agency anymore now. Ive been to work today for a pittance and I know I can get more, I just need some customers now. Theres 2 big newish estates not far from where I live so I think Il target them next. Don't really want to do my own estate as what would happen if I threw a sickie? lol not that I do very often like.

Looks like your off!
Theres shops that embroider poloshirts and tabbards have you thought of a name?
'whippet cleaners'?
You could offer 10% off the first clean, chemical free cleans, cleans as presents for new mums in your adverts, thought about a website you can start one of them free they're very basic but it's a start?

hi kizzy on my leaflets I just put C & S house cleaning services as Im Carole and my sister is Susan my initials are CC and hers are SS, never thought about whippet cleaners pmsl. That's a great idea about 10% off 1st clean or something like £5.00 off 1st clean. Thankyou.

Well went to give the customer a quote today and she would like us to do it once a fortnight on a thurs. So hopefully she will be the start of a few. Going to do another leaflet drop next mon. Im wondering if I should maybe do a badge of some sort to prove who I am, for those who wish to give me a key or anything.

Have you got your insurance sorted? Did you think about the embroidered tabards, that would look professional.
Signage for your car might be an idea too, cut the letters yourself from a stencil to cut costs.
Who is responsible for finance, can you do spreadsheets or are you logging things on paper?
Well done on your first contract!

went to that house today shes given us a bit to consider the prices for 2 reasons. 1 she probably 1st wants a one off deep clean, then once that's done it will be a weekly clean. So weve considered prices for an absolute age. Its a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house ( 2 bedrooms rarely get used but still need a quick flick over) and it was quite dusty. She did say she had a cleaner but she was off on the sick for approx. 8 weeks. I think shes either telling a white lie or the said cleaner has been off for a while or she doesn't do a very good job when she is there lol. Anyway Weve decided on the prices so I will ring the lady tommoro, maybe we will be too expensive maybe we wont but we can only try. Oh and she doesn't know if the said cleaner is coming back so this could be temporary for 8 weeks but it could lead to permanent. So fingers crossed guys she wants us. Getting my insurance sorted tomorrow and we are now looking into crb checking as the lady asked us this. Now both me and my sister worked @ a school me for 9 years when I got checked each year but I think they may have ran out now.

How it is at the moment, I would give someone a good £100 to sort it out

If I was on top of the housework a bit more, probably about £8-10 per hour or so

I don't know, £100 is 10 hours at £10ph .. will it take that long?
unless that is going to be the both of you taking 5hrs it's a bit much, unless that takes into account things that are usually 'extras' (cooker, steam cleaning curtains or treatments for carpet bugs or fleas) Then I would say it was right.

Looked online and some places charge a lot more than that for a one off deep clean, this will include everything, oven, windows, doors, skirting boards, bathroom tiles etc etc. If she wants us she wants us if she don't she don't. It is quite dusty what we saw and that was just a quick look.

Oh and yes it will take 2 of us a good 5 hours for a one off clean I would say, possibly more.
