Lorde isn’t too fond of Nicki and Drake’s music, and is rather turned off by their lyrics! In a new interview with ‘Interview’ magazine, she says that they both sing about “such opulence.”

Lorde is firing away at music’s top stars, once again! She revealed that while she started listening to both Nicki Minaj, 30, and Drake, 26, she quickly realized they they were “irrelevant” in the music world! Ouch!



The 16-year-old free-spirited singer is very concerned with rap music — specifically that pertaining to YMCMB, Nicki and Drake’s rap label managed by rap stars Lil’ Wayne and Birdman.

In a one-on-one with Interview magazine, the “Royals” singer expressed that she’s completely disinterested in their music, as well.

“Around the middle of last year I started listening to a lot of rap, like Nicki Minaj and Drake. YMCMB rappers create music that does not relate to most people’s lives,” Lorde told the mag. “They all sing about such opulence, stuff that just didn’t relate to me, or anyone that I knew. I began thinking, ‘How are we listening to this? It’s completely irrelevant.’”

Burn! As we know, Lorde has no qualms in expressing her mind with brash remarks towards her counterparts! While we commend her for being brutally honest, it’s only a matter of time before she meets her match!

Young Money makes songs about wealth and spending it, most people are not able to relate to that at all. She's not even talking about talent, just that people can't relate to their lyrics, which is true

It's either that or she's shading the royal family her song starts with "I've never seen a diamond in the flesh" and it was the queens diamond jubilee last year. LOL
