![]() IT’S been a funny week. I did fear that Kitten would be ejected from the house. I think it’s a great shame — and a huge mistake. When she was being interviewed by Davina McCall she really showed signs that she had made friends, had enjoyed her stay at times and she had realised that it was supposed to be for fun. What came across is that Kitten does know a lot about herself, and it’s not all bad. I feel that if she’d been given a chance to be in there for a while, she’d have become much less belligerent. She’d begin to let her gentle and warm side show. As it was, she had almost become a caricature of the trendy anarchist, and it’s an enormous pity because you can see she has this lovely quality to her. I hope they put her back in! As for Stuart and Michelle, when I first heard about their antics I thought — oh no! Poor girl — has she not got a brain? I feel really sorry for her acting like that in the face of the nation. And I feel sorry for Stuart as well, who you’d expect to have a bit more savvy. To me it smacks of Michelle using sex to get love, trying to come across as being all romantic, when Stuart, for all his failings, can see right through her. Desperate is the word that springs to mind. I hope Ahmed goes this week. I think he’s going to miss Kitten. He’s been saying she’s great, sweet, lovely and he identifies with her. But I thought it was very shallow of him to pick an argument with Marco only half an hour after Victor and Jason had been telling him to get controversial. It was out of character for Ahmed. He fled from Somalia as an asylum-seeker and is now a British citizen. I can’t help wondering if the Big Brother producers had noticed my comments about asylum seekers in the Post last year and decided to include him just to see what happens. Out of the girls, I’d like to see Vanessa walk. Although I thought she was the best eye-candy for the boys, she’s becoming wallpaper — far too much in the background. And she’s a bit of a pain when she does contribute, having too much of a dominant streak. But there’s a chance that Shell might get the viewers’ thumbs-down. They probably see her as too sweet and not coming across strong enough. That doesn’t make interesting TV. Other strange events from the week have been Marco’s fake crying in the diary room —what nonsense! And Jason and Dan nearly getting it on in the snug. I think Dan is really getting to like Jason, but whether Jason is innocently enjoying his friendship or thinking a wee bit more about it, I don’t know. I’m getting to like Dan. He sees everyone’s point of view, even if he doesn’t agree with them. I’m finding it hard to see how Nadia is contributing. There’s been a backlash on the Big Brother Internet forums over my comment last week about her failing to understand British culture. The thing is, I feel able to talk about it having lived as a foreigner long-term in other countries. I have absolutely no problem with saying that and stand by it. Article The Sunday Post |

Well, you can tell that he didn't write that article on his own and whichever hack did the final write-up was really aiming to please the public with it, weren't they?
