When will these numpties ever learn. Ratings down, viewers switching off in their thousands, desperate rumour mongers on the loose just to build the hype and to top it all, regurgitated twists and turns, presented by YTS type tossers that wouldn't get a 'd' in English.

Every year the so called producers think we need to see sex, violence and controversy. This what they build the show on........when in reality most of us normal viewers love to see the tasks that make our eyes run with laughter like the original electric suits or the chili eating comps etc etc. Yeah its good to see a barney now and then but only if it looks real and doesn't come from something or someone that manufactures one deliberately like Speidi or anyone just in there for the hype.

They should put more effort into real tasks that create hardship and splits and let the storyline develop instead of force managing storylines from behind a wall that ultimately fail as we can see where they are going with it. Its been so many years since the original format that we loved so much has been ripped apart, that the show now feels like a scripted soap as opposed to a social experiment with its own twists and turns.

This year we know already that Sam Friars will be given loads of opportunities to drop her drawers for the first desperado that wants to get in there, that we have lost the will to get interested in it, and everyone is hoping that the bitch of the year will try to start some kind of a manufactured argument that she knows will be safe in the house as security is behind every wall so that's doomed to fail as well. Its all too plastic now and spontaneity has been removed to be replaced with scripted storylines.

Both recent winter and summer series were up from the 2012 winter and summer series, and the regular series was the highest on Channel 5.. so, the ratings are not exactly down.

I agree the effort they put into manipulating situations in the show ruins it in part, especially interaction from outside.
Sam F is a poor choice she's so bland, gemma or bobby would have been much more entertaining if they insist on having a towie.
Will give it the benefit of the doubt for now though, like you I hope the staged drunken antics are kept to a minimum.

I will defo watch the launch and I will probably say what I think and I will probably be surprised but I would still love to be able to voice my views on here but when I get hammered for speaking my mind, its not that easy to paste a view or hold up my end for all the grumpy old decent farts that are sadly locked away in nursing homes all over the country. I am in the minority on here and to a degree harmless and the brunt of many peoples jokes. Being on my final warning or infraction has tempered me but even that tempered view got me a warning this morning and I WAS BEING COMPLIMENTARY AND FUNNY ABOUT DANIEL at the time. I actually agree with you on this tbh, the tasks have become so irrelevant and boring they could get rid of them an no one would even notice

it has been 14 years after all give it a break its gonna be a little repetitive. Dont watch it if you hate it so much. Electric shock task has been done in a variety of different ways. You say a lot of things on this forum with no evidence to back up what you say.

If you are going to put a controversional opinion up and know you are going to get comments you dont like dont put stuff up. Everyone gets negetive comments about housemates they like, series they like or things they say you dont need to feel taregted just because of this. How are you going to argue your point without playing the victim? Its your free speech to have an opinion and its everyone elses free speech to say what they like about that opinion.
