No, I don't think she is. I don't know if she's always been this way and it's not my place to judge her on that; but being so bitter, negative and holding onto her hatred for such a long time is only hurting her, not Jim. Jim doesn't care if she thinks he's the worst person in the world, Jim doesn't really seem to care for anyone's opinions in there; focusing on hating Jim so much is only upsetting Linda, not Jim.

Mentally unstable's maybe a bit strong but I think for her own well being she needs to let go of her anger. She doesn't have to forgive him or be his friend, she just needs to let go of her grudge. It can't be healthy to hold a grudge for twenty years, and I say that as someone who has held grudges over petty things for years at a time. It always feels better to put your demons to rest than to just stew in your own bitterness and resentment.

If that hatred turns to obsession then it is a sign of mental instability. I've seen it happen in real life. She is obsessed with him. Whatever he does, whatever he says she reads something into it. That is not rational that is not stable.

If it's ruining her time in the house and making her totally unhappy (just to look at her face proves that) and seeing as her own sister told the world that was the sole reason why she entered the house in the first place, to annoy Jim...that just isn't right.

I agree with all that and her obvious obsession with Jim and maybe being out of revenge for so long, shows very irrational thinking really.

She's not had the easiest time of it in recent years, I can understand why she might be bitter about life in general, but this is just so specific towards Jim, you know? Like if she was snapping at other housemates and generally being bitter then we could attribute it to Bernie dying, her financial situation, her husband dying etc but she's just bitter towards Jim over an incident that happened twenty years ago. Her grudge is about as old as me, it's ridiculous.

She's a little bit obsessed but mentally unstable is a bit far.

Then again none of us know about any of their history, she might have very good reason to hate him so much. And I genuinely believe (as Coleen basically admitted on last night's BOTS too) that she thinks he's putting on an act and holding back his true thoughts (as do I actually) so as to appease the public and improve his reputation, and so she's trying her hardest to provoke a reaction to expose the real him.

And I'm certainly not going to complain at that, because if fight night three breaks out because Jim finally explodes, that will really round this series off in style

I think what annoys Linda more than anything is that on the odd occasion she does rile Jim up, he never shouts and properly loses his temper, he has this sigh and walk away attitude that must infuriate her so much
